    Money Management: What's Better?

What's better? Using a fixed dollar amount of your starting capital per trade that stays the same no matter how the account fluctuates, then possibly adjusting that amount at year/month end etc., or using a percentage of capital that will constantly change as your account grows or shrinks. I...

    Ebay??

Ebay basically makes completely illiquid assets liquid. All of the useless crap sitting around my apartment has a certain value in theory, but in reality cashing in that value would be extremely difficult...until the advent of Ebay. I could liquidate all the junk I have on Ebay. Ebay is also...

    Changing Markets?

I constantly hear about how the markets are changing. I especially hear much about how the markets are extremely difficult to trade as of late. Granted, I'm only interested in swing trading, so I'm naive at best, but how are the markets really different? I can see how scalping would become...

Falling Down, And Getting Back Up Again.

I'm tempted to not believe you. I mean, the idea of someone giving 2 million to a 23 year old with no credentials is kind of far fetched. Yet every day Wizetrade sells more of their program. So I suppose anything is possible...

    Lottery Backtest Report

So I'm checking my lotto numbers on the web. Yes, I play the lotto. Anywho, I stumble upon a little section that details the frequency of drawn numbers. After looking at the page, I get the eerie feeling I'm looking at a backtest report... Yes indeed, this is creepy...

CNBC's Bill Griffeth Visits Gay Porn Site On-Air

LoL, did anyone else see on CNBC's story about online christmas sales? Bill tried typing in www.fruitcakes.com and got an unpleasant surprise. [Mod: don't click link if you are offended by the love that dare not speak its name]

    Does Wealth Lab have Charting?

Is Wealth Lab a full service charting, backtesting, scanning program? Or is it just for backtesting? There's no ongoing fee for it, which makes it cheap in the long run. I also understand you can use many data feeds with it. Anyone know?

    Stock Watch Pro

Oh and when I do backtesting, there will be mistakes in the report. They're rare, but they reveal SWP's backtesting to be inaccurate. Sometimes I'll do the exact same backtest over the exact same time period and stocks and I'll get different results Very shady if you axe me!!!

    Stock Watch Pro

SWP is horrible as far as reliablity. The damn thing crashes on me constantly. The data feed is also unreliable...I know...It's Qcharts data feed. But sometimes the data works on Qcharts and not SWP, go figure. Here's what really gets me. When I do scans, I can only imput a few hundred tickers...

    Fading Yourself

I've done a little bit of backtesting not with BB bands, but with Keltner bands. I've found buying the low band and selling the high can be profitable. It's not that simple of course, I had to insert a bunch of filters, but it can be profitable I suppose.

    Fading Yourself

I'm I the only one who thinks I have a genuis idea, implements it, sees it sucks, then switch the buy and sell buttons and find I've got a great system? I seem to get some of my best strategies this way.

    How Likely is Failure IF

How likely is one to fail at trading IF he has a robust trading system rigorously backtested over many years, will stick to the system without question, is abundantly capitalized, has all the right equipment, and most importantly, uses rigid risk control? I know supposedly 95% of traders...

Stock Watch Pro Backtesting is Pathetic!!!!

I'm getting really sick of this. When I get my backtest results, I sometimes see some outrageous numbers, so naturally I manually check what happened on that trade and what do I find? A friggin mistake. This doesn't happen all too often, but still, it completely screws up the integrity of my...

This is how Saddam tortures people ...

Did you hear that from Bob Bevalaqua? That guy is always interesting, but I get the feeling he's a little sensational in his analysis, which I'm sure Faux News loves. In the words of John Stewart, "Ya, I watch Fox News, although I don't consider it news." I'd have to agree with him. I love...
