Yes, but why would you want to do that?
When you manage to set it up it is very slow due to the great amount of data that is required for booting. (using an USB HD)

part 2
No need to make every week a complete backup.
My setup is that I have encryption software which makes a "virtual HD".
The "virtual HD" needs to be "mounted" (made accessible) and once a day I synchronise "my" data ("My Documents" and other directories that have data that change)...

Not entirely true that viruses cannot get onto the second HD.
It totally depends where the virus is located on the primary HD and how you get rid of it before you connect the second HD.
May I suggest that when doing a restore because of suspected virus that you first boot from CD...

As usual every business has its risk: if you were not performing then they would have no problems getting you out the door ASAP. That is the risk they run. And if you have not signed up for some "bonding" then there is no issue. Similarly if you are still in a "probation" period then you can...
In version 5 they have supposedly "improved" USB support and "fixed" network issues (whatever that may mean) . I have definitely observed far better video and audio performance.
Memory usage has shot up.
I agree on MicroShit: it is the proverbial brown matter (and it does not even have any...
History of Euro is too short to be of any statistical significance. Likely more to do who is president in the US.
Have no opinion - follow your system. Opinions lead to the poorhouse.
I am fighting it (wanting to override my system because of an opinion that I have) every now and then but...
Thanks, sounds like my PQDI has to be hanging around a bit longer. Am just wondering how long it will be before the NTFS file format changes and PQDI won't work anymore.... (My restore works at 700Mb / min and the backup is around 500Mb / min)

And when you get a nasty virus (like I had three years ago) then it screws up all your machines and you are (-fill in the blank-)!
Thats is when I started to take it very seriously.
Do it now before it is too late, trading is a business and you cannot let your guard down Michael...
Just reporting back to those who are interested.
Finally I have been able to get an acceptable video / audio / network performance under VMware.
I can now say " yes I can use this to trade under when the needs arises " (like when my PC has broken down / stolen and I need to get up and...
Same here, backup is of paramount importance. Both on- and off-site. Similarly speed of restore is very important (backups can be done at convenient moments but restores are always urgent)
For years I have been using PQDI (Power Quest Disk Imager) and have been very happy with it. When I got...

Bucket ehhh.... FX shops are unregulated. Trade futures instead.
edit: or use a reputable broker like IB (but even then you have no garantee that there are no games being played. At least you'll have an independent intermediate party that will check the timeliness of your...
No, the indicators are not going in circles.
As Sherlock Holmes mentioned to Dr Watson: "you see but do not observe" (and then went on to the example of how many steps there were in the steps leading up to the hall)
As I am writing this I am seeing a definite move in the market being set...
And that "little bit of programming" chews up more time than ever thought possible. Rather spend my time trading than being a geek. Cost me already enough time to keep existing stuff going.
