    Beware! Print out your statements

So what happened? Why did you think it updates the statement retrospectively? And what did they actually do?

US Securities & Commodities Non-Professional Bundle

Could anyone tell me which markets data it offers in the plan called "US Securities & Commodities Non-Professional Bundle (Includes all Stock, Options, Futures and Bond markets)"? So far I know these market data are included: AMEX NASDAQ NYSE NYMEX TRACE (BTDS) Is it all it offers?

Discrepancy in Commissions on the website

I'm reading the thread called Futures Commissions Bundled vs. Unbundled Pricing Comparisons Does anyone tell me whether the info displayed is accurate? For example, I read the commission of Forex Futures (USD based) is USD 2.85 (bunlded plan). However it is shown as USD 3.00 in the table...

Realized P&L in IB executions window

IB P&L is definitely flawed and miscalculated. Click on P&L in TWS is unrealistic!! for details. PS: Even though it is said realized P&L ignores commission and fees , but the value is still miscalculated. There must be some bugs in the formula or TWS.

IB Outrage for more than 1 hour (disaster!!)

I am fine here today. I am sorry to hear that. That would be a very horrible incident to you, especially if you have open positions. Did you manage to sort out your problem now?

    Beware! Print out your statements

Changing the statement retrospectively is unacceptable. It can be deemed as fraud or deceit. If a bank makes a erratic entry, it won't erase the entry on the bank statement, pretending as if it makes no error at all. Rather it makes a reverse entry to offset it, so we know there was an error...

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

Well, you shouldn't need to read 3 pages to find the answer. The answer is in the very first post. I stated the reason in the last paragraph, that is: "[I want to subscribe to third party datafeed only] However the bad thing is IB forces you to subscribe expensive market data if you still...

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

Yes but the problem is it pops up a warning every time you place or change an order, telling you to subscribe market data first before you should trade. The popup annoyance will make you impossible to trade. This may be a bad idea for people who trade in the US market, but not in my cases.

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

What feature polls? If you are talking about reducing price of the datafeed, this is not a feature at all. I don't think I am going to influence their pricing decisions. I will respect them in this aspect. I created this thread because some people asked me why I wanted to use third party...

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

Thanks for clarifying what I am trying to say. Why do I need to pay again if I can get better and cheaper datafeed elsewhere? This is nothing to do with affordability. They even offers sophisticated stock monitoring and scanning apps to help spotting my own trading opportunities. They are much...

IB ChartTrader needs some serious work

Thanks for your suggestion but I'm not going to post requests over there. I like to post it here because I want to exchange ideas. I want to discuss with people and read their replies. I browsed over a bit and found out only a few feature requests are made on ChartTrader. Huh!! Perhaps...

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

People should interpret based on the whole context, not single some texts out which will cause misunderstanding. What I tried to say is due to exchange rates, $10 USD may mean differently to different people in different countries. There is no indicator whether one can afford it or not. You...

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

There is no stock market which is free, that is the focus of this thread. Trading on a market which is not familiar with is suicidal.

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

I don't think so. Exchange charges for market data, but it doesn't mean the price quoted by IB is exactly the price they pay to the exchange internally. Provided that there are cheaper alternatives elsewhere, are you telling me the data supplier gives data to me at a loss? It is hard to...

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

This would be great for both parties. For people who care nothing about the costs of market datafeed or don't mind the quality of its datafeed, they can simply subscribe to it. For people who got their own datafeed and don't want to use IB datafeed, IB should respect them and let them choose...

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

I suggest you reading again. If it is not clear enough, I said the deal about US market data is competitive. Fee being exempted if I made more than certain commission is another plus. What is not competitive is the datafeed fee of non-US markets. The charge can be much higher (320%...

IB: The warning message pops up every time and makes me untradable

For people who asked me about stock market(s) I trade and what the price of the data package is, I'm not going to specify exactly what market(s) I am trading, but you should get the idea and know about its impact in this post. Some people pointed out the datafeed fee itself won't kill you, so...

IB: About market data fees for non-US stock market

I read a bit about IB market data fees in non-US stock market. And I would like to take this opportunity to comment about it. There is no stock market data which is free (except US stock market but free only if you meet the commission requirement). The majority of the stock market costs...

IB: The warning message pops up every time and makes me untradable

giles117, in case if you misinterpret, the last reply is not for you. nove, thank you. I will try your suggestion and see how well it works. Yes I agree that IB almost definitely will ignore my request because it appears most customers are in the US. I hope not though. I hope it shouldn't...

IB: The warning message pops up every time and makes me untradable

Exactly the same tone, except it is less rude than the above quote, as the IB staff that I talked to. Subscribing the data is the only way to stop us from bugging you. o.O It is interesting to hear some people think subscribing third party data to trade is equal to blind trading. If I use...
