    Sugar - COT Analysis

I was trying to short at 21.50; looks like I missed the train. I just lowered my entry limit at 20.00.

    SOY - COT Analysis

Sorry to hear that. I would not put a stop below 1140 to soon and 1150 is still my best guess for now. I didn't move my stop yet. I will bring my stop at 1080 when 1028 will be touched. Fortunately, what we saw yesterday and today is a big reversal signal.

    SOY - COT Analysis

" Corn and soybeans markets were bullish Wednesday following USDA’s report, but weather is now the driving force, according to Pro Farmer Editor Brian Grete." From Agweb. I had other reasons to get in the trade and the driving forces are the same than 15 days ago. The next COT report will be...

Binary Options: how serious can be trade them?

Spread and fees.. You definitively need to be best to beat the dealer! It is actually great to play, like blackjack. If the goal is to have fun, why not. If you are good, you could even make some money in the process, from time to time. Good luck. I personally would't bet the house :)

    SPX Put Spreads - Question

This why I don't understand either. Options are very exciting, but over the long term do we know any real successful Option Trader who beat 7% a year ? I certainly don't.

    Corn

Statistically, it should go down in a week and reach a bottom at the very beginning of October.

    SOY - COT Analysis

At 8:31 CST today I shorted the SOY (SU16), because of the following analysis: - The COT Index was at 0 for 5 weeks and now is still at 1 - The Commercials are really short - The Big players just stopped adding long positions - CTAs are mostly neutral now (after big gains on trend following...

Trying to transition from full time job to trading. Having trouble with discipline.

20% per month, for 12 consecutive months, is a little less than 1,000% a year if it's compounded... Hope there is still room for improvement

    Sugar - COT Analysis

I use stats and COT for "real" commodities only. I believe that they still are impacted by hedging and natural cyclical events. I automatize 90% (of what can be automatized and back tested) for short term Stock, ES and YM trading. From Agrimoney : "The significantly higher sugar production...

    Sugar - COT Analysis

This is how I will build a position, because of what I said before (which is not about the blue line) and because of S/R : Now the SB is at 20.33. 18.50 will be the catalyst for (shorts) Chartists. If it goes beyond 16.50 which I think, it should have some (bad) news around it, which should be...

    Sugar - COT Analysis

When the commercial COT Index is at 0 (and bouncing on that 0 few weeks in a row) and when Commercials are more short than they were the past 5 to 7 years, and when statistically Sugar prices are going down by the end of July, I will bet that all the others will realize in the next 2 to 4 weeks...

    Sugar - COT Analysis

When I learned that 99.99% of traders or investors didn't like or didn't want to bother with the COT, I got interested. That is contrarian thinking, isn't it?

    Margin Calcuation Example

In portfolio margin account: $100,000. of SPY, initial margin = max $10,000. and maintenance margin = around $9,000. So, if you have the required capital depending on your broker (and low margin borrowing costs), that could open doors for sophisticated hedged strategies and minimize risks...

20% in a month is amazing (I really think it is). 20% of what capital and capital allocation, and with what risks?
