The Aussie, *If you use Oanda, the Aussie has a 2 pip spread (institutional rates) the pips are worth more (approx. 30- 50% more than the majors), so even though it seems to move less the dollar value of the moves are similar. *It doesn't spike around or move as crazily as the majors...

Best thing to do is to live 6 months of the year in the northern hemisphere when it is winter and then to fly south to the southern hemisphere when is winter there (here). That way it is always cold outside and it is easier to focus on work.

Does smoking pot enhance your trading performance?

Intuition/fresh perspectiveness may be unlocked when trading, but so too is the unconscious desire to sabotage oneself, it can be a double edged sword. This trait can be anaesthetized for a period but in the long run it will play havoc under the effect when you least expect it. Better to be...

Does smoking pot enhance your trading performance?

I don't use it, I prefer to meditate. IF someone can use it in moderation, it may help. Someone is better of growing their own (in many states of Australia where I'm from it is decriminalised), that way they can control the quality and specimen. I say this because if a trader needs to wait...

    Broker with best spread...

I use Oanda, and use the esignal forex charting service (perhaps the best data feed as it is from GTIS). Not "cheap" - but often you can see price moves a second or two before they show up on Oanda (who I use). (don't try and arb Oanda as they can kick you off for doing so.) Optionscoach...

    When to exit.

Agreed. The ONLY problem with this is that if you trade a 24 hour market you will suffer from sleep deprivation. Sometimes you have to reverse at 2am ET, sometimes 8 am, sometimes at 1 pm, sometimes 4 pm and sometimes at 7 pm and midnight too.

many hedge funds had a bad month in MAY

Agreed. If you ask me - we are in a bull market as far as volatility and trend, at the moment. April/May were the best months this year when you think about it from a trending perspective - gold (730-630), S&P (1350-1250), currencies (Euro 1.21-1.30) etc. all moved very well from a technical...

q: (Traders Magazine Interview 2004) how do you handle distracting thoughts and emotions? a: (The Worlds most Successful Trader - Paul Rotter - aka "the Eurex Flipper"): when it gets really bad - taking a cold shower or jumping in a cold swimming pool. I think it would be difficult to just...

The Aussie fell out of bed - just hit the target that i had thought it would only a few hours earlier - and off-course as I posted i wasn't going to have another go at it (like I should have in hindsight). If your curious to know why I thought it would go down - apart from this mornings...
