    Broken Mergers

I have found from observation that the stocks generally revert back to their pre announcement prices. A good takeover candidate that a deal collapses on usually holds value. If the deal broke because of issues with one or the other firm that will have an extrra impact on that firms shareprice...

    Top 30 traders under 30

I have no doubt that everyone on this list is a good trader. I happen to know that the woman who wrote the article solicited various firms to nominate people for the article. Then, the trader had to agree to be profiled. This is not a scientific survey or even close to being accurate as to...

equity to prop futures in nyc

Certain firms will let you trade futures, but they won't teach you or guide you. ETG lets prop traders trade futures. Also, on the NYMERC, a guy named Fishman or something close to that has an operation upstairs that they train you to trade futures.

Is Jim Cramer a Hypocrite, shyster, just plain stupid, or is he a genius

Cramer is a great trader whose ego is so big he wants to get on TV and let everyone know. His win-lose ratio on stocks is not trelevant to his P&L. He can lose a lot and still clean up if he is disciplined enough to take his losses quickly and ride his winners. i know he can ride his...

Rumor - is Mac/Refco in trouble?

Nate, Was Tom Gould one of the clowns hired and fired? I knew him from another firm years ago. Heard he went to Mac. He was a gruff person who took things personally and seemed bitter about life. A lot of hostility here for this Mac firm. I have found that the firm is not really the...

    What in trading is patentable?

When I was at ETG, Bob Kanter got a patent for some of his rules of trading. Some were rejected because they were already in the public domain. I never saw the actual patent, but I was told he tried to get one on all his rules but was only successful on about 2/3rds. Since he taught me to...

didn't bright used to have 40 offices?

Bricks and mortor in a low margin business is a losing proposition. When a lease runs out most prop firms will not renew. I suspect that the closing of lots o offices has not affected his volume.
