    For the rolling part does it incur commission and spread difference ? I intent to hold a position in es equivalent to what my cash amount can hold, so there won't be any margin issue. with realised large loss, I will view it as if it's large paper loss on holding spy.

    I'm not US resident. My country happen to have capital gain exemption for US trading/investment. 30% tax on dividend. my thesis is holding ES doesn't not require upfront payment of the contract, thus the cash in my broker is entitled to interest , which is around 1.7%(no interest income tax)...

    I use 2 brokers. A for holding index and etf. B for day trade. There's no problem even if the broker A broke down for a month. Use A to create opposite position of B when B break down.
