$500+ a day trading index futures, possible?

There are probably a handful of market wizards here (out of thousands) who can do it, but they won't be the ones to post.

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

Doesn't matter if the Fed is wiped out. They have an infinite amount of money that can be conjured up with the push of a button.

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

There are "so many bears" because everyone knows the underlying economy is shit and unemployment has never been higher at this point in a supposed recovery. Everyone knows the stock market is in fantasyland without central banks. Without QE, the S&P would probably be at 1,000 level today instead...

    The New Bull Market

Yeah, but Nikkei is still > 50% below its peak over 20 years ago with a central bank determined to be the next Weimar/Zimbabwe. Long Nikkei, Short Yen, Short JGB!?

    The New Bull Market

About 50% of S&P 500 revenue and profits are earned outside the US. Emerging markets with fast growing incomes providing most of the growth. Since the US is less than 5% of the world population, ultimately the economies outside the US can drive the US stock indices (composed largely of...

Fed will start tapering QE in September

That's because higher and higher valuations require more and more support to counter any natural selling pressure from sellers trying to take advantage of higher prices. CBs rather not let the market find its natural lower level that would entice normal buying activity.

    Karen the "Supertrader"

I want to see an Onion news article featuring Karen the Supertrader getting her own Mad Money type TV show making her viewers billionaires. Happy viewer testimonial: "I sold a bunch of puts just like Karen told me to. Kept rolling the trades. Easiest thing in the world. Bernanke has your back!"...

It's Not Just Stocks; Everything is Overvalued

If household assets to GDP is too high amid high indebtedness, it would be reasonable to expect the ratio to fall during a normal recession in an uncentrally planned world.

    Why is there no inflation?

Because each time there was supposed to be a "cleansing" of debt, the Fed kept encouraging more borrowing by lowering interest rates to reignite growth. Now the Fed is trying to do the same, except with negative rates. Before the Fed, recessions actually caused interest rates to spike (and...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

That's what I don't like about futures and other margined/leveraged instruments. If I wanted to express a bearish view, I'd rather do it through puts when volatility is cheap now and everyone, even Stan Druckenmiller and Nouriel Roubini, think this market can only go up. Druckenmiller is a...
