    IB TWS Charts not loading

Oh btw, i love IB. They are the best. I normally post here because there are a lot of active IB traders on ET and people respond quickly :) Though I really should be calling IB tech support for this type of stuff instead.

    IB TWS Charts not loading

Dav, Thanks for the update. I didn't know about the IB status page. I have bookmarked it for future reference. I just closed out my FX charts and the other charts loaded fine. I think I can get by for now. FYI, the IB status page is showing green right now @ 6 PM EST...

    IB TWS Charts not loading

Is it just me or is IB having chart problems today? All of my charts in TWS are blank. I have tried clearing out my profile and starting fresh and then adding a new chart, but it still comes back blank. Above the chart window says "Loading..." (See screenshot) Anyone else having this...

    CL Spreads

Thanks guys! I looked at the website of those brokers: RCG, Advantage, Crossland. I downloaded the onyx trading tool for RCG, but wasn't able to see the inter-commodity spread feature. The only promising front-end tool is X_trader which Advantage supports. But they want $700 a month...

    CL Spreads

Which brokers do you guys use for spread trading? I trade through IB and they only allow calendar spreads within the same futures contract, but not inter-commodity. Any good online brokers that allows inter-commodity spreads trading? (like Crack spread on CL and RB) Thanks in advance.

SEC Seeks Ban on Unsupervised Access to Stock Market

This is correct. This has nothing to do with smaller traders. This provision is actually being pushed by Goldman Sachs to kick out high frequency trading shops that are competing with them in that area. The folks at GS don’t like to share :D

India to overtake China in 2020

You got it backwards. China is the most homogeneous country in the world, and not having to deal with diversity related problems is a big advantage. While diverse counties have to worry about race riots, affirmative action, religious wars, and large scale disunity, China can stay focus on...

Goldman to move 1000 UK jobs to Spain - angry over bonus surcharge ?

And btw, I am not joking about paying these carpetbaggers to move to another country. Do a search on history of usury laws/revolts in Europe. Historically, countries that managed get rid of these guys benefited greatly from doing so.

Goldman to move 1000 UK jobs to Spain - angry over bonus surcharge ?

I could care less. Most of these SOBs spend their money in Monaco/Alps/Swiss resorts. Their contribution to the local economy is moot. And considering the havoc that they have caused, I think we should actually pay them if they agree to leave and not come back.

Goldman to move 1000 UK jobs to Spain - angry over bonus surcharge ?

This is a blessing in disguise -- probably the best thing that has happened to British people in a long time. Let's just hope that Goldman does the same here in the US. FYI, they only paid $14 million tax to IRS last year, so their presence won’t be missed :D

10% unemployment but H1B visas accelerating

Looks like nurses are next: ----------------------- Nursing crisis looms as baby boomers age http://money.cnn.com/2009/12/17/news/economy/nursing_shortage/index.htm "Barry Pactor, international director of global healthcare for consulting company HCL International, agrees that more...

I just made a HUGE noobie mistake.

Don't worry, you are in good company. :D Several years ago, I started trading futures options for the first time. I had experience in equity options, but wasn't familiar with the future options expiration calendar. Long story short, I was long some 30yr bond future calls going into...

Trade at least once a day?

Anyone has a trading rule or sees value in having one that requires a trader to be in the market every day? I've noticed that most of my bad trades happen after a period of inactivity. I tend to make poor decision regarding trade size or risk after being on the sidelines after a few weeks...

10% unemployment but H1B visas accelerating

It's not about money, work expertise or shortage of workers. Work visas are part of a larger immigration policy intended to alter the demographics of the US.

10% unemployment but H1B visas accelerating

Arguing with H1B cheerleaders is pointless because most of them are open border immigration advocates hiding their true agenda behind bullshit economic arguments. Their entire theory resolves around an assumption that by bringing a diverse group of people (different ethnic groups) into the US...

People with degrees making 13 bucks an hour

This is nonsense! First, H1B is alive and well. Its pace in the tech sector has slowed recently partly due to the success of the program. H1B's have completely saturated the tech industry. There is nothing left for them to take so they are moving onto other industries. Second, H1B should...

People with degrees making 13 bucks an hour

I work in the tech sector and personally know 6 people with computer science degrees who can't find stable full time jobs. 4 of them are actually really smart and are hardworking but they are forced to take contract positions and whatever random part-time work they can find.
