Well said about unlearning and relearning. This is where I often find myself. What advice would you give to those who do not have access to a successful trader?

Brooks talks about market attempting something twice before going the other direction. Never heard of blue candles. Where does one find them? Where have you learned your trading method? After I finish Volman, I'll be looking for next book to read.

Thanks for the tip about consecutive bars. A question, after a strong bull, when do we know that the price entered a range and not just a pullback?

I like thought-provoking questions. I'd say in a zone, of which the last high point (in a bull) is the middle. And then, I'd fight the low of every lower high. Makes sense?

As a part of my learning, I'd like to review some figures that traders come across. We've talked about a bullish triangle already. Let's talk about Head and Shoulders. Here is what I've got from Volman so far. Head and Shoulders · Type: Reversal pattern · Description: "Triple-arch formation...

That's definitely not where I'd like to see myself in ten, or even one year ;-) Any particular advice on how to avoid it? Vote by putting in real money in setups? What else?

You're right again! I look through all those at the beginning of each session. Usually have M5/M3 on top (largest) and D1/H4 and M15 at the bottom.

Gotcha! Can you elaborate on what constituted that signal, and where was an entry point? I assume it was after the bull flag and entry one tick above the bar that went above the flag ( around 2776). Anything else? Then, where would be a good place for Stop Loss and Take Profit?

What kills me about ES is the spikes. They easily kill my SLs. Any advice how to deal with them? I am hoping to find something more stable and suitable for a rookie to learn with rather than ES.

A fair point. I think I found one such case. The link is in the first case. To get me started, can you point to a couple of keywords for searching? Thanks!
