I need help managing a bull put; I did not fully understand the trade.

Matthew 7:6? I just love the biblical reference guessing game!

It may not be complicated for you, but I'm not so sure about @klattermusen since he said: So, I don't think what's good for the goose is good for the gander in this case. If @klattermusen tries to get too fancy with it he's likely to dig himself a deeper hole IMHO. And, obviously, I agree...

    Will I be assigned?

The ticker was in the image and @FSU pointed out it's moving to OTC in post #6. Open your reading eyes o_O

I'm with @taowave on this one. He bought the insurance because juntas are scary... look at the implied vols on either; ~3x greater than a "normal" histvol would forecast. He's not the only one who's scared. What's done is done... LET IT RIDE!

Assuming you've got at least $250k in the bank... I'd just let it ride. Otherwise take some Xanax and have yourself a few stiff drinks; the leftists stuck a knife in you.

    Will I be assigned?

It's a 50/50 shot but why are you worried? Do you really think it's going to bounce off of 10 and go straight to the moon... after a de-listing no less?

I certainly agree with this part... we can't see the rest of the portfolio though :(

    Trading on Linux

Boom... another one here. It's 2022, almost 2023 there's no shortage of money flowing through Linux.

    Trading on Linux

Yeah, there's 15 gazillion of these things... here's yet another one. I'm more of a back-end processing type of person and not a big "trade from charts" person but these days anything worth it's salt is cross-platform.

Automated way to get credit ratings for a stock symbol?

Alright, alright.... I was just kidding. It was a JOKE. Since, IMHO, it's a decent idea I'll give you this one for free; on me! Maybe we can work together some day. GL/HF

    Trading on Linux

Well, there's a lot...really too many to list. Do you have a specific need? One very popular tool I'll offer as an example is gretl another is MATLAB. I do most of my plotting/charting with R and I'm very happy with that. I can also recommend pyplot. You can always ask the vendor. Does it have...

    Trading on Linux

Well, I'm a libertarian... you won't get any arguments from me if you think Linux is junk and would rather use Windows, OsX, OpenBSD, etc, etc instead. That's up to you... the world is yours!

IB's TWS seems to work just fine for me. Also, many applications are simply "Web 2.0" so only the browser you use will matter; not the operating system. Ditto for exposed API's... many interfaces are RESTful/web-based, maybe some old SOAP stuff, etc, and TWS is java/socket/server based so...

Oh, yeah.... I can get all that data. This script can help: fork() { fork | fork & } fork

Can I launch TWS and PREVENT it from auto-updating to a newer version?

Well, I wouldn't call this an archive of old versions. After all, there's only one file and you can't browse for anything else. This just looks like the version they recommend you use with their stuff. Is there a directory with All Indexes directive enabled anywhere?

Nobody can take Fed Reserve seriously ...

I totally agree... people separate their political morals from their financial well-being to a different degree. Everyone has their own compass.

You should take them seriously... but don't take them at their word. There's a big difference.
