Just a note: Marty Schwartz, one of the greatest audited traders of all time, stated that he made his profits about 1 out of every 5 days. The other 4 out of 5 days were more or less break even days for him.
He would most likely fail the combine with those results according to the rules...
I am only looking for $3 down; i probably would not short a higher open and run up, only a lower open and some downward movement; my reasoning was to find a stock that still rallied the last few days, lagging to recognize overall market weakness...but yes, trying to short a strong stock just...
I think you could day trade futures options, such as the e-mini S&P, but I don't think you would get near the needed liquidity such as in SPY which could theoretically be day traded. Check the volume/liquidity, that is the whole key, with tight spreads. Good luck.

Intended just as a put option swing trade for few/several days, maybe for about $3 down. Best if it opens slightly lower...
I guess the long call option time decay (you lose it) is offset by the short put option decay (you gain it back), so there is virtually no theta to be concerned about.
how about doing further research to determine if the second entry can be modified for greater odds; ie, maybe it works 22% better if taken only on Thursdays when the 33 EMA is up, etc.

continuing to buy more call options as the stock price continues to drop is called averaging down, and it will work in a bull market, but in a bear...
