The naz formed a beautiful double top this week then receded, thus not breaking its primary (bear) trend. The Dow and S & P didn't come close to their targets. Should/could be a good week to see the downtrend continue again and see if we retest/break prev. lows. Couldn't be this easy though...

If the naz closes above 1410, Dow above 9K and S&P above 970 thus taking out their prev. rally highs, by definition, would signal the end of the bear.

If the naz closes above 1410 and the Dow above 9k will this signal end of bear?

It seems to me like this run-up is one big head fake. Price continues to rise but volume is not there. For example, I've been playing/watching MRVL and the Vol =< half of its avg and it jumps up after hours, seems as if the MMs are trading shares amongst themselves to artificially keep price...

Thanks for the thread Margo. KLAC looks like it meets your strategy, and ERTS finished the day @70.14. I too have been looking for ERTS to hit the 70, didn't get in today though. KLAC has earnings out Tue 5pm, would hate to be on the wrong side, look at QLGC this week.

The President is delivering a speech to the Nation Mon evening 8 p.m. EST to make his case for eliminating Saddam. Be interesting to see how this plays out in the market tomorrow. Could also be what's fueling the Japs, that lingo reminds me of my WWII generation grandparents and uncles.

NihabaAshi thanks for the reply. You're correct, those stocks did bounce w/KLAC & naz but they also closed at or below their LOD. The naz closed .03% above its LOD and KLAC closed .026% above its LOD pretty much imitating the naz. My question is what buying is going on here at the bounce...

What happened to KLAC this p.m., was that a short squeeze run up of 1+ pt? It had a nice break down this a.m., then congestion (covered short here) then the run up. QLGC, AMAT, BRCM all stayed down as did the naz and sox. My thoughts are shorts covering before the weekend. Any thoughts or...
