Kind of surprising with that outcome the bonds are still just trading at 6 cents on the dollar. Are there different issues of...

I just checked my account and realized I had a payment come in from my EXXI bonds on Monday...that is very odd considering they are currently in bankruptcy. I need to get caught up on the news with that apparently. That or maybe it was a mess-up and they will take the money back. Really not sure...

I think he is referring to the bonds not stock.

I looked at some awhile back but was afraid they still had more downside. I'm sure it will make a comeback at some point. Just like on the bankruptcies thread, I'm going to look into this more later and hopefully come back with a better response and maybe get some ideas going.

I played some of the commodity bonds, entering back in February/March. FCX, X, CHK, BTU, EXXI, and a couple others. So far all worked out to be very profitable. Only thing left I hold is BTU and EXXI. Both up significantly but with the bankruptcy proceedings going on that could of course quickly...

Does anybody have a good site they use that lists the forecast for the upcoming EIA report? I didn't have much luck finding one. The only website I found doesn't list the forecast until AFTER the report has been released so it serves no purpose. Thanks!

I don't know a ton on programming, but have a buddy with automated systems, and he went for the text/email alert route. Said it was much simpler to do from a computer and just have it message him.

I'm in the US with IB but I didn't receive a message on any of this so not sure if it applies to everyone or what the deal is. With that being said I haven't placed a forex trade in probably 6 months or more so that could be why I didn't get a message

Yeah, you can't count that as a 60% return since you still have those open obligations on the options. That wouldn't even be remotely close to accurate. Nonetheless, good luck with the trading!

It looks like it closed below the NAV on friday by a decent amount. Odds are the majority of the gain you are seeing today is just due to the price catching up to the NAV since it closed below. http://www.velocitysharesetns.com/xiv

I just looked it up, around $2m/employee I believe which is still incredible given the size of their workforce, but what is even more impressive is the fact their net profit is something like $4-500k/employee. Talk about some nice margins in that space!

I'm guessing the dollar will play a big factor in all this, if it strengthens we might see oil take another decent dip.

Those type stats make me think of people trying to find patterns in baccarat...nonetheless 23 times is more than a lot of these type market stats I usually see.
