    worldometers.info website seems hacked

You are right about more testing equals more cases. However, body count is misleading. You have italy, the oldest population in europe and you have germany which has a very low death rate. So, its difficult to compare. It’s clear that ciesta countries like italy and spain (maybe France) will...

    Japans fate coming to US

yep, you are referring to the 80's boom in Japan. Hard to make a conclusion like that if it's gonna be the same loss in US. Tech is the name of the game nowadays and US is leading in tech. We'll just have to see how everything unfolds.

They post the daily corona cases. 10 minutes ago US posted 12000 new cases, now it says 7800. Someone messing around. WHO is also being attacked as i heard. Looks like someone is running their agenda, whatever that may be. Just like presidental elections :) edit: just now it hit 13900 cases

this is a bear market for 10 years.

NET earnings yield is better. You get the idea of which asset class is offering premiums. The same way you calculate the "earnings yield" on your real estate investment through renting.

this is a bear market for 10 years.

In Indonesia for example which has a higher humidity with warm weather right now has seen corona cases at 2 person per 1M, compare that to 978 cases per 1M in Italy. Given how it spreads (much like the flu, germs in the open air) there is a little logic to seasonality. It's not just the hot...

this is a bear market for 10 years.

You do post logical arguments. I guess the markets are then all about the fact that people simply don't have the liquidity needed. So now it's a race to take as much out as possible. Will it be temporary when we look back a year from now ? Probably, but it can easily go to low enough that noone...

If this is Armageddon why are Chinese stocks only 12% off this year's highs?

Yep, everybody, which is why there's nowhere left to go if we look forward. Fiscal stimulus is the way forward. Plus the reality that there's actually an opportunity to shift from bonds to stocks due to their attractiveness. If that becomes the mainstream idea then stocks will perform but not...

this is a bear market for 10 years.

Not a flu, bro, italy death rate over 10% (it'll decline but still waay too high). Virus spreads twice as fast as flu, hence the shutdown worldwide. The only hope is that it's seasonal and/or vaccine later. Then we'll get back to normal. It's really the governments inability to tackle it that...

If this is Armageddon why are Chinese stocks only 12% off this year's highs?

You are absolutely right about the net earnings yield attractivness. But theres one thing you (or noone else for the matter) have not considered - what if yields rise?

If this is Armageddon why are Chinese stocks only 12% off this year's highs?

So you are saying that Japan is better at its mounting debt and monetary policy? I thought they were the worst

How low will stocks go? Apple ?

I’m not sure you actually understand that quote i posted. You even said yourself that some of them are right and some wrong. That’s exactly what my quote implies. Noone will know how this unfolds but everyone has an opinion, hence my quote.

Stock valuations- they may be expensive

Growth stocks like you are referring to aren’t about value but potential growth. People hoard apple because it’s leading consumer tech innovation. What if they come out again with some revolutionary product like the iphone back in 08’? I call that “overvaluation”: the price of CEO.

How low will stocks go? Apple ?

this was meant for this line: "Many high profile market muckety-mucks have proclaimed, this one will be worse than the '29, market."

How low will stocks go? Apple ?

The answer is: nobody knows. And remember, opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one.

intense vol drop into the weekend_ES

nothing really, just an observation. I wonder if it means anything at all? Feels like it's dropping the downside hurdles, so the price can go down which it is so far. But who knows

vix is dropping much faster than the ES is rising.

Is a "V" shape recovery a pipe dream post COVID?

When in the past have the masses made fortune collectively ? At the expense of who then? Where does wealth come from ? Let's leave out wars and any other physical and violent encounters. In that case, you can make a fortune collectively :)
