Fix typo on image. Everything should be clear now.

    Exit position using Price Action

Here, I am not claiming any ultimate significance by this slowing of pace, but it is merely an indication of weakness and I've found that the channel is more likely than not to have a BO followed by a change in the dominant direction when price starts to slow down like this. Edit for...

    Exit position using Price Action

If the price had hit the blue line going downward, then it would have had to have traveled the same number of ticks as the first thrust downward. If the length of the second thrust is at least equal to the first one, then the current channel is at least as strong as it was when it was formed...

    Exit position using Price Action

The last two bars on the 10m chart you posted show it beginning to reverse already after a thrust that only covered half the distance of the first one, so I am anticipating a BO already before price has even touched the RTL again. If it's an FBO we can either exit or go short again.

    Exit position using Price Action

It seems I am creating over-complication in an attempt to clarify the information I had in my head when looking at the chart. I call these 'channels' for lack of a better vocabulary word to use for them. The yellow supply line tracks the current movement of price. The "LTL" on the other...

    What are your Trading Breakthroughs?

Thank you. I made a mistake and counted the Hitch twice. I will create another drawing this evening.

    Exit position using Price Action

I think we are on the same page, but perhaps we got the channels being discussed confused. The fastest channel (yellow) failed to be expanded by a pretty wide margin. See attached.

My upload picture was too big so it didn't upload the first time. I fixed it now.

    What are your Trading Breakthroughs?

Jack, I believe that the market is 0% random. It is a rare belief that I have not encountered in many people. You are one of the people with this belief, and you understand the system too. I have the belief, but I do not yet understand every part of the market's the system of operation...

Not quite sure how you missed it. PM me if you decide to make a serious effort in processing the material in these threads. Good trading to you.

Son of If You Can Draw a Straight Line . . .

I'm glad that we were able to have the opportunity to touch on this topic. I was initially influenced by yesterday's action, where if one missed an entry, jumping in just about anywhere on one of the down-waves anyway would have resulted in a successful trade. As I think more on the...

Son of If You Can Draw a Straight Line . . .

Ah, I see it now. I didn't look close enough to think about how that would look in real-time if one took the short there. Good call.

Son of If You Can Draw a Straight Line . . .

What about one minute later at 3471? SL is already up, and it's extremely steep. Trade can't get much easier to manage than that. You know it's a RET by then I hope. Price is a point or two away but that doesn't invalidate it. It's not like we're trying to scalp.

    can you read charts

Not only the approach, but the whole premise behind those games is severely flawed. Why make an educated guess where an instrument will be trading two weeks from now? That's throwing away an extremely large amount of information worth mountains of gold. If I'm playing KK HU vs. an...

Son of If You Can Draw a Straight Line . . .

Really liking the long at 9:30. I was finishing up my post here, was about 30 late to the open. Don't know if I would have been that quick on the draw even if I was watching. The rest looks decent, but where's the short at ~9:46-48? What were you seeing at the time?

Bride of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Weekly lesson for beginners. I wanted to keep going, but ran out of room and had to delete the last section of the chart in order to fit all of the text in. Tried to stray a little closer to praxis vs. theory than I did last time. Comments and questions are welcome as always. Edit...

Son of If You Can Draw a Straight Line . . .

**The retracement from 66 to 74, from 9:50 to 10:00. Made a typo there. Also, price seems to be remaining in the consolidation range which formed after the huge sell-off. Traders seem to need a little more time to gather their bearings. A few pushes against the edges but no consensus...
