The question is if I can avoid $10/month if I do not subscribe to market data in my other accounts. I have several accounts, and the primary one generates many many times of the $30 commission per month, whereas others vary (longer term, IRA accounts). Now IB basically treats each account...

I thought options holder has "the right, but not the obligation", to buy/sell the underlying at strike. Shouldn't it be that contracts will NOT be exercised, unless the holders notify their brokers?

I have been wondering about the same thing--why "Close Position" button doesn't work. It is easy to get rid of one button, but it is better to make it work. Anything we need to do correctly (I reconfigured it to no avail)? TIA

Yes you are right. I shuold have included method/system in the list of "edges". All I was trying to say is, edge is not the steady upward-sloping equity curve, which is the result of a trader exploiting his "edges" here and there effectively. In other words, having "edges" does not...

IB is probably the only broker that does not charge fees for exercise/assignment for retail traders...

IMO, edge is not a measurement of the performance of your system/trading result or expectancy (win/loss ratio, etc). I'd rather think it is just an advantage and it is all relative. Some have fast internet connection as an edge for scalping over those who don't; Some have a bigger...
