You can make money, but you need to be selective in your trading. I do not trade every day. Just on the days with good volatility. That alone saves me a lot of frustration.

I trade mostly off of 1-minute charts. I can't complain, but perhaps for your type of trading their feed would not be good enough.

Pullbacks work fine for me, too. I don't mind averaging down in some situations, but I do this rarely. But I like to keep my non-trading job. I think that's the best arrangement: to a have job (I am self-employed) and to trade on a side.
