Lots of time on pull up bars or rings. You think the stair stepper is hard? Crossfit workout of the day today - 400m walking lunge for time, knee touches ground ever step. 8:08 to do it and two hours later my legs are still quivering.

Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

You've found a wordy way to say "I've been killed in the market because I trade with too much size", which is exactly what people have been warning you about going back to last year's journal. I wouldn't trade 1/10th your size with multiples of your account equity. Even your new and improved...

Grinding it out, day after day

Probably the slowest week of the year. +9k for the week and almost all of it came Monday morning, should have taken the rest of the week off. It seemed opportunity to make money for the day was pretty much gone after the first 10 or 15 minutes. Daily pl was +7, +1, 0, 0, +1. Only traded...

Kind of on topic, but how do you guys define "Fitness"? What does it mean to you to "be fit", what about "health" and "wellness"? How would you say one guy is fitter than another when comparing? What sports or activities produce the fittest persons?

I'll trade anything given the right setup. Stock selection isn't important at all for me for some strategies. For others, I will avoid certain sectors, and look for minimum liquidity. But generally speaking, I don't put a lot of thought into it.

For this week, yes. A few busy days but net result wasn't that much, definitely below average. As I've said before, netting a penny a share is a margin I'd be happy to average over the long term if I can do it at decent volume.

Grinding it out, day after day

I would still be profitable trading smaller size, what I do doesn't require a minimum share size or anything like that. I do like to scale out of a lot of my positions, so would need to have at least a few hundred shares to mirror what I do now. However I do use a lot of leverage, so I would...

Grinding it out, day after day

During the day, the automation I run is to manage and exit positions. I will use it on entry, but only after I've decided to activate the stock or set up, meaning I have to give the program the ok to float orders in the stock. So yes I use automation, but it's still subjective, so not a black...

Grinding it out, day after day

I don't know that it really matters what you are using for a mean to measure diversion from. Vwap would probably work as well as any other. I certainly do consider what the market is doing when deciding to enter a trade. I'm more comfortable getting into a lot of positions if the market is...

Good market movement, a bump up in the vix, but not much to show for it this week. Started off good on Monday, green across the board in all strategies, then was on the wrong side of the big move Wednesday, but got that back with some good trades Thursday. Not even worth firing up the machine...

NItro, you've gotten some good advice on this thread. Another mention above of tabata intervals. These come up in CrossFit workouts sometimes and they are butt kickers. Just for fun, try this simple looking workout, requires no equipment. 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off of burpees for 4...

+5k for the week, another snoozer. Daily pl +3, -3, +3, 0, +2. Traded 500k shrs. Some good intraday moves to fade, made money each day with that strat, just not with enough size. Seemed to be one big loser most days to keep things from being really good. $1,000 brain fart today didn't help...

Here's a tip. Big pecs and biceps does NOT equal "incredible shape". People often equate striving for aesthetics with fitness. They are not the same thing at all. Take these guys out of their nice sterile, controlled gym environment where they build their muscles in nicely defined ranges of...

    rolling back to level 1

I've never paid attention to what's happening at different levels on the books. I'm not a scalper or tape reader. I know the levels I want to execute my orders and I break them up, use reserve or some kind of pegged or relative order to try to get stuff executed in this very thin environment...
