    Best Alternative to US Citizenship

Oh......I wouldn't compare anything to your johnson. It just invites unattractive jokes :D Anyway, as expected, privately run insurance is working better than anything run by halfwits in government. Not really surprising.

Yep....and the Gorebull Warming crowd would love nothing more than to make air conditioning illegal or severely restricted to smoke out those damned Texas varmints. I used to go to Texas on business a lot. Always like it - weather and all.

Least indebted countries in the world. Pack your bags people!

I wish I could say I don't agree with Jim, but I do.

    Best Alternative to US Citizenship

It's only "necessary" because politicians' unnecessary spending. It's interesting to note that CT just raised taxes to 6.5% for anyone who actually earns enough to live in CT and yet the property tax is pretty close to no income tax Texas. hmmmm....I've always liked Texas.

I completely agree. It's very sad.

Least indebted countries in the world. Pack your bags people!

BTW, most of that nationalism is an outgrowth of the zero-sum economics of Socialism. Unfortunately, that's the path the U.S. is currently on. The U.S. may be a much less friendly country in the future. I hope it can reverse course.

I speak Russian - as do most Estonians. You're right, though - nationalism and racism in most countries is much worse than in the United States.

    Best Alternative to US Citizenship

Speaking of jews..... To renounce U.S. citizenship, you must have citizenship elsewhere and you must do it outside the United States and pay a capital gains tax on all of your worldwide assets (to be followed by a cap gains tax again when you actually sell the assets). Otherwise, the U.S...

    Best Alternative to US Citizenship

I think the problem with the U.S. is that what you say is true right now. It won't be true as soon as next year. If Democrats get even a portion of the tax hikes they are trying to ram through, high tax France will be a tax haven. The U.S. is self destructing. High tax rates will...

WSJ: The Tax That Won't Die

You can imagine just how much an idiot's armchair psychology means to me. If you can't understand that Buffet wishes t dispose of his wealth as he sees fit but advocates for forcing you to dispose of your wealth (well, probably you don't have any, but the point remains) as he wishes as well...

WSJ: The Tax That Won't Die

I like the sales tax. Taxing what you take out of the economy (consume) makes much more sense than taxing the income resulting from what you put into the economy (produce). How about a flat consumption tax? Or even a progressive consumption tax instead of any income tax at all.

WSJ: The Tax That Won't Die

Buffet IS a hypocrite because HE did not leave his money to the government. He disposed of it as he saw fit, but he wants the government to confiscate your wealth upon death to spend as it sees fit. He is also a hypocrite because he cries about not paying enough taxes, yet he employs an army...

WSJ: The Tax That Won't Die

No, sorry, it is you who cannot interpret what you wrote. There is a big difference in disposing of one's wealth as buffet did - to a receiver of his choice - than to allow government to confiscate it. Buffet could have also disgorged his wealth into untaxable trusts for his heirs and...

10% unemployment but H1B visas accelerating

Your ignorance of basic economics is truly astounding. H1-B visa applications were down last year and many H1-B holders gave up their visa either because they lost their job or because they saw no future in the United States. I also don't support illegal immigration. Have you been...

10% unemployment but H1B visas accelerating

Who cares when your family came? You're still an immigrant. And I haven't noticed anyone stopping you from voicing your opinion. Yet. Obama may try, though. For me, the biggest problem is not immigrants but people who are Americans at birth who are begging for totalitarian policies...

10% unemployment but H1B visas accelerating

Yep. because there are no American born pedofiles. I see this thread has been taken over by xenophobes ready to paint their faces and do the rain dance for their tribes instead of facing the reality of a competitive world market - including a competitive labour market. It's useless to argue...

10% unemployment but H1B visas accelerating

I spent a long time in investment banks. Trust me, I know what you're talking about. That's why I switched to trading - much less of the "big hat, no cattle" types. They don't survive. But, that really applies to promotions. That tends to be a popularity contest and it's not an...

10% unemployment but H1B visas accelerating

That's an impressive parade of non sequiturs and straw men. Are you seriously claiming that a lazy, entitled American kid will join the marines to fight some H1-B visa holder on a battlefield while the Hi-B visa holder is working in a NYC office building? What are you talking about? If an...
