    How smart the West is...

What's 1000 times worse is Americans go die fighting in Iraq so the Iraqis can show their appreciation by awarding business to the Chinese. Screw US 'foreign policy'. I'd never go die for crooked, stupid politicians.

All the liquidity has been chased away by front running machines.

Why bother with the BS American stock market? Leave it alone. Let the HFT'ers screw each other. If the fundementals were good, there would not be a 'liquidity' problem. Fact is, the fundamentals for the US market suck & the smart/big money will not step up until they see clear bargains...

He Was Supposed to Be Competent

Yeah, Obama is going to dive down there himself in his snorkel gear and plug the oil leak himself. If there's somebody to blame there, it would be the head of the government dept. that oversees how these companies are operating & if they're doing so in a safe manner.

hey HFT scum, yeah, you. Watch this

Oh I see, the oil companies do a great environmental job when the government lets the free markets 'do their thing'. The same with the banks. Ditto for credit card scammers. On & on & on to just about every industry. No, we don't need regulation. Let them stuff your food with shit...

hey HFT scum, yeah, you. Watch this

The SEC fools ought to TAX the HFT leeches an amount so that they make up no more than say 30% of all trading. Say the way it was 3-4 years ago. If that means taxing traders/investors 1/2 cent or 1 cent a share, so be it. I'm sure the government could use the money.

How is it to not live by the coast?

Funny you mention the issue with living in a coastal area. I feel the same way. Another one is mountains. Gotta have those mountains! Whenever I'm in a place like Florida, I start thinking of heading out to where there are mountains. So, since I need ocean & mountains, it kind of narrows the...

Retail traders dont give a damn about the stock market anymore

There's a lot of blogs out there on the stock market but when you dig a little deeper, many of these people will admit to not trading/no positions and are writing a blog for other reasons. The same for many of the media/internet sites. It's their job to create hoopla but the fact is the...

Retail traders dont give a damn about the stock market anymore

That's good. In fact, it'd be even better if MORE people didn't give a rat's ass about the bs stock market. There's still waaay too much interest. These things have generational cycles.

High frequency traders literally printing money!!! LITERALLY PRINTING MONEY!!!!

It seems the US congress only acts if the public gets outraged about an issue and the general public has NO idea of any of this stuff unless someone prints it in the NY Times, raising a stink. The SEC morons seem to be too busy jacking off/watching porn on their pc's. Anytime they even...
