    Feeder Cattle

best time for fills is the opening hour and closing half hour. There's not a lot of size usually shown on the screen but you can get size off, you just have to know how to do it. Cattle are normally a very fundamentally based market, but lately this record fund open interest has been a lot...

Nearly New Trading Computer and Accessories for Sale

thanks scataphagos and others. Will consider CL, just not sure how much interest a higher end computing system will generate outside of the trading world. Not many businesses out here in rural TX that need this kind of processing power. Will try it out though.

Nearly New Trading Computer and Accessories for Sale

track: I'd prefer to sell everything as one package deal first. If I cannot get that done within a few weeks, then I'll split everything up and sell it individually. Reason for this is I'm in a rural area, and really don't want to make multiple long trips to the UPS store if possible...

Nearly New Trading Computer and Accessories for Sale

Hey guys! I have a system for sale that is just 3 months old, and very lightly used. It was only used for charting / system automation on some commodity programs, and now that I'm mostly automated, I find I don't need it any longer! (my smaller system will do just fine) Here's the info...

Organic contracts for agricultural contracts possible ?

smalls is spot on...organic just trades premium...whether it be milk, grain, whatever. Also, a lot of the smaller niche organic producers set their own price, as opposed to selling organic wheat for instance to an organic terminal market, so the standardization would be impossible. But...

No, but with as early as we are planting these days, you have to still worry about snow AFTER you plant!

    NYMEX membership lease prices?

for NYMEX...with current leases averaging $1900, you'd probably want to be doing a solid 1,000 a month before even considering it....just off the top of my head.

    The guy figured it out...

so which ag market was it?? haha!! In all seriousness though, this does happen quite often in the ags...they are just liquid enough to not make things blatantly obvious, but still illiquid enough to make certain TYPES of edges lose effectiveness quite quickly.

    Cattle/Lean Hog Strategy..your thoughts?

ah you bet Circ! You still hangin 'round the fat cattle pit makin some dough??

    Cattle/Lean Hog Strategy..your thoughts?

sorry...the cattle market is small. Heck, even the group of guys that are in the cattle markets day in, day out is small...and very close knit. If you are a new guy, not to be rude, but you have to earn your spot so to speak...when you find what works for you in cattle, you won't want to...

    Cattle/Lean Hog Strategy..your thoughts?

If you are looking for a "breakout" market...why not look at the hog spreads?? PLENTY of volatility there, and when they start trending intra-day, they TREND. Those may better suite your style.

    Cattle/Lean Hog Strategy..your thoughts?

yes they still trade very good volume in both the pit and on the screen...volume is basically split 50/50, but the total screen migration has definitely started. Agree completely with avoiding the opening range...Opening and closing range is still the best areas to trade in cattle.

    Cattle/Lean Hog Strategy..your thoughts?

I make my living trading cattle...so I won't comment beyond this: The cattle market is one of the most predictable markets out there imo. Having said that, it shifts week to week (sometimes day to day) as to whether it wants to be a mean reverting, or trending market....and it tends moreso...

    CQG Trader Issue

You can't trade? Execution is working fine for me. The arrow problem corrected itself for me, only had that one hiccup with it this morning. But even then execution and the rest of the DOM worked as fast as ever

    CQG Trader Issue

well...I take that back...now its happening to me too. Seems to be an issue with the up/down arrow not being able to keep up with the rest of the DOM during a fast move. Bid/Ask, and the B/A spread shaded box flow perfectly, but the little arrow and "trade series" dots just can't keep up...
