Normally I wouldn't fight against the trend, but a Black Monday wouldn't be so far fetched. There is a lot more bullish sentiment at this level than at 13000.. So a sharp fall would hurt a lot of the hedgies if we see it on Monday. 12700 wouldnt even be that large of a percentage hit.

Easily Qcharts for me.. Price isn't outrageous like CQG, charts are beautiful, and reliability is solid since esignal bought them out. Yes they have their faults, but I am a buyer :)

As long as the market continues to go up, everyone will "feel" better off (aka dot com.) Nobody gives 2 shits about inflation. Just would hate to think if the market suddenly reversed. Wealth effect is a double-edged sword.

Wouldn't a pit trade be far more expensive that an electronic trade? Why not just hedge on the ES? It may not be one to one, but close enough.

There are too many times that we bash software providers.. So I just wanted to say something good for Qcharts today. I have two different software providers (will not mention the other one) and Qcharts held up perfectly all day. I think this has a lot to do with support that Esignal has brought...

I have to admit that true.. I am certainly not versed in academics as others may be, but embracing inflation is probably the worst thing for the markets.

Personally use qcharts. I have tried other services in the past including CQG and tradestation, but I always come back. And I feel like the added support esignal provides is only a plus. Also, pretty excited to see they are expanding their service to include international exchanges. (dax baby!!!!)

Exactly my thinking.. would think overall daytraders made far more money this month since they "depend" on volatility... Not to mention the brokers who probably also made a killing.
