All of the information on contract expiration schedules is on the respective exchange's website. Most contracts are rolled 1 week or so before First Notice Date or Last Trading Day, whichever comes first. Liquidity dries up as you get closer to expiry.

How's your economy holding up, Michigan?

For those of you that live in & around Metro Detroit, there is a group of traders (about 20 or so) that get together one evening a month in the Birmingham area to discuss anything trading/financial related. Most of the people trade full-time and there are some sharp people in the group...

How's your economy holding up, Michigan?

Its absurd to make it out like Michigan is all assembly line workers & trees. Everyone in the state got pretty well screwed by the Auto industry problems, whether they were involved or not. That's not anything new. I would hardly call it shocking or surprising that the people in this state...

    Calendar spread trading

I use a combination of mean reversion & trend change type TA. I also tie that in with some historical price levels using database queries. I am not sure if that's what you're looking for or not. I also have been messing around with some co-integration tests on intra-day data to try & get a...

If you are employed full-time, when do you spend time working on your system?

I developed my system after work & traveling over the period of a few years. I then came to the realization that much of my effort & mental capacity was already drained by the time I finished working my day job. After I realized this, I then began working on things for 2 hrs before going...
