5-10K account day trading ES futures - Any broker recommendations?

Not if I have a paid for license on my own end either? May I ask why not? You and your brokerage is getting great reviews and I'd love to open an account with you, but using Ninja has almost become a dealbreaker for me at this point.

I'm interested. Could I use Ninjatrader with you?

5-10K account day trading ES futures - Any broker recommendations?

Could I trade through Ninjatrader with you? Alternatively, I could pay for Ninja on my own even. I'm not too eager on learning a new platform now. I had decided to pretty much go for Interactive Brokers, but their margin requirements are too high, IMO.

Switching from Interactive Brokers to TradeStation?

And if I'm not mistaken, overnight margin requirement applies from 15 minutes prior to the US RTH equities session close @ 16:00? I could live with $4039 intraday margin, although I think it's a tad too high. But $8000 per contract before the day is even over would not work for me at the...

Switching from Interactive Brokers to TradeStation?

Personally, I don't need overnight margin, but I'm surprised to see that the intraday margin per ES contract is now at $4039. Is this correct? Surely, this is higher than the last time I was trading with IB (a few years back now). Is this due to the higher value of the underlying? I had...

    Ninjatrader Brokerage Reviews?

It hope it's okay to bump this topic three years later. As I'm in the process of opening a new account, I'm curious if anyone has any actual experiences to share with regards to Ninjatrader Brokerage. Since I'd prefer to use NT, they seem like a good solution.

Any news here? Considering upgrading to NT 8.

Fills are usually decent on market stop orders with smaller size in the ES. It's a vastly different market than say crude oil or other thinner markets. I have thousands of hours of market experience by now, so I don't need any lectures on this, but thanks for the heads up. :)

5-10K account day trading ES futures - Any broker recommendations?

In addition to what Pekelo said, I'll say you're making quite a lot of assumptions. I was only making a simple example. Maybe I don't trade during fast markets? Or maybe I decrease position size during those periods? I certainly don't trade around news releases as often it's gambling to do so...

5-10K account day trading ES futures - Any broker recommendations?

Completely agree with this, Volente. If you allocate 5K of margin per ES contract and use a 3 point stop ($150 without commissions), you're 'only' down $1500 dollars after 10 stop outs in a row. If you have a successful day trading system, there's no way you'd be stopping yourself out 10...

5-10K account day trading ES futures - Any broker recommendations?

I think 5K is sufficient for a day trading account, but obviously I'd like to fund a 10K account if I can. I spent a few years developing my system and am now forward/live testing it in simulator mode with good results. I don't hold positions in front of big economic numbers or FED releases...

5-10K account day trading ES futures - Any broker recommendations?

I had Interactive Brokers as my broker and used Ninja as a front-end for placing orders. That's all I know. :)

5-10K account day trading ES futures - Any broker recommendations?

Hi, all, I'm opening an account by end of this year for day trading ES futures at CME. I don't need very tight margins. $2000 per contract should be plenty sufficient. I currently use Ninjatrader, so it would be very nice to have a broker who support it or even offers it (but I can pay for it...

Trading laptop? Considering the HP Probook 450 G5.

I ended up buying the Lenovo I mentioned just above here. I hope it's a good purchase. Haven't got it yet. Thanks to everyone who replied and helped out. Would probably have gotten the HP I first linked to if not. :)

Trading laptop? Considering the HP Probook 450 G5.

It's also roughly 60% more expensive here in Norway, so considering that it's not an equal comparison. The Lenovo I linked does have an i7 7700HQ Quad Core, 16 GB RAM and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050. So, I'm thinking it actually might be cost effective when I compare it to some other laptops...

Trading laptop? Considering the HP Probook 450 G5.

No, it's just above my budget which I'm already pushing at 10-11.000 kr. How does the last one you linked compare with the first one I linked to? http://www.dell.com/no/p/inspiron-15-7577-laptop/pd?oc=cn57702&model_id=inspiron-15-7577-laptop Thanks. :)

Trading laptop? Considering the HP Probook 450 G5.

Hi, I appreciate the recommendation. It does sound like a good deal, but living in Norway, it does not seem like the outlet deals are an option for us. I've contacted Dell about it, so let's see what they say. Maybe they do have it. Or maybe I could get it shipped abroad. Without a discount...

Trading laptop? Considering the HP Probook 450 G5.

I did some more searching around tonight and it seems like the Dell Inspiron 15 7577 is getting great reviews. It's just at my budget as well. So, unless anyone protests, I think maybe I'll go for that one?

Trading laptop? Considering the HP Probook 450 G5.

We're drifting off-topic, but I have one entire screen for Excel and one entire screen for charts. The laptop screen is redundant. I'd prefer 3 screens actually for multiple time frame analysis, but due to the nature of my trading, 1 screen is sufficient. One instrument only...

How about Acer Aspire 5/7? They come with i5 quad core processors, 8G Ram and SSD.
