Is there a way to enter a Percent trailing stop with TOS? When I use the software and try to enter a trailing stop order, it only shows trailing stops with $ values away from the price..not percents. Anyone know if I can do that with TOS?

I just opened an account with Thinkorswim. I tried to buy 100 Jan 08 puts today that were selling for $1.00. I thought I'd have to pay $100 + comissions, but when I hit the confirm and send button it said the cost was more like $1,000 + comissions. What's going on?

These websites don't answer my question. They don't tell me WHY MA's should work or any of the logic behind using an MA. What makes it any better than looking at a chart and buying when it starts moving up (and selling with something like a trailing stop)?

There's something I must be missing here. Can anyone tell me the logic behind using MA's as entry signals? Everyone realizes the mathematical fact that if a stock is rising every day, its short term MA's will be above its long term ones right?

What does that mean? A trade for 30k shares happened at a price of 5.37? Was it a buy or a sell? How can a trade happen at that price if the close was 5.51?
