    SCTlearning from scratch

What is the question? Look in this thread to see what to do when the fourth bar of a lateral appears. http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?p=3828855&highlight=retro#post3828855

    SCTlearning from scratch

Sure. :) But if everything is already covered why did Jack (for the first time) create a (new) thread!? There are certain levels of SCT trading and there is a progression to get there and certain drills to do. Until which level does he want to take this thread? For example does he want...

    SCTlearning from scratch

Well... good luck with the repair! With the time and energy you have remaining, where would you still like to go with this thread? Which topics still need to be covered? What can those who already participated in this thread do to help? Action... action... time is running out! :) By the...

    SCTlearning from scratch

Are you sure you hired "programmers" and not fifth graders? If you look in the JH software thread you will find at least two examples how this is done. Some software packages already have that feature and if you use google you will also find how others create gapless indicators.

Olympic lifters/Crossfit workout and diet thread

As this is an "Olympic lifting/Crossfit" thread, then you can make your life easy and simply follow every day the workouts on Crossfit.com at home or do it with others at a box (gym). Your best schedule/plan depends on: 1. What your goals are. Do you just want to generally become fit? Run a...

Olympic lifters/Crossfit workout and diet thread

Sure.. good enough. Now your heart rate is up and your whole body starts to be prepared. Depending on your workout you can now start with the specific warmup for that workout. :) Find a few other routines so that you can switch between them during the week. Doing the same thing over and over...

Yet another Jack Hershey Trading Method

I don't think you will ever be the 400 001th owner of that book. The "books" that Jack refers to have NOTHING to do with trading. You wrote that you are learning JH's method for some time. Keep reading more threads where his name appears and you will find one day one which has a reference to...

    Market System of Operation

All... except those situations when the second bar has higher volume than the first bar. You only know that you have a lateral when you have bar 3 but in the meantime you already used/named volume bar two already because you had a UL situation. I think an example was the recent discussion...

Correct, what makes you then assign a P1 on the next bar in order to get the b turn? Jack, please explain.

    Market System of Operation

Heroic, if you wouldn't have insisted... for which I thank you... I wouldn't even have noticed the issue. Looking at Jack's bar 17 assignement as a PP5 it looked correct to me. It is an OB. On the top row you always have a peak and the bottom row is always a through. We had a T1 before so...

    Market System of Operation

In this case bar 17 looks like the situation that workwithus posted above. On the top you have a BO/T1 and assign a P1. On the lower part you assign a T1. Correct?
  12. F

    Market System of Operation

Your challenge can be seen at bar 4. How can you have a P1? What makes you first assign it a P2 and then make it a P1? When/how in the order of events can you come from one point suddenly back to the beginning with a P1? Workwithus had the same issue. Anyway... maybe it will become clearer...

    Market System of Operation

I am thinking... which can be wrong as usual: Normally... if you follow the volume test procedure on the log sheet... you can NOT go directly from P1 (which you assigned on the top row) to a T2P. None of the PP4 and PP5's allow this. What comes normally after P2? What comes normally after...

    Market System of Operation

So let's see if I can answer your questions quickly. My expertise is rather in detecting if your learning process is on track or if it is derailed. For knowing if something is correct or not I would rather prefer Jack to answer as long as he can. Back to yor questions.... 1. With bar 3 you...

    Market System of Operation

You posted a first iteration of the log for five days. With this there where challenges with degapping, identification of price cases, UL and maybe some other things. Do you have the confirmation that each line in your logs was filled in correctly? Anyway, go back to those five logs and...

    Market System of Operation

When you test for a repeat then you have to test a repeat for all elements to your left not only the last element. See your step number 4. You only tested for a repeat of T1 but not a repeat of P1. So every time go through the whole list to your left.

:D Is that you SnakeEye, outsource, or pick any of the other hundred aliases?
  18. F

    Market System of Operation

I see what you mean. On his original "A-band sheet" he says: "Band pass = LVBO" "First P1 replaces T1" "Happens when P2 assigned on bar 78 before T1 occurs"

Back to "Cycle 1"!? Let's see how you guys progress through the flow chart(s). I will be watching. :)

    Market System of Operation

Quote Jack Hershey: "Degapping bar to bar is a requirement of RDBMS. Fractals have their place. To see them correctly, degapping must be done before the observation is made." :D I will leave it to Jack to justify (explain) it (the reason "why"). :)
