    OptionHouse???

I see where they say I can open and close an IC for $14.95 each way regardless of the # of contracts. That sounds good - it also sounds a little too good so I will ask my questions. My current broker charges me $100 each way for a 20 contract (20 contracts each side = 80 total) IC. Paying $30...

    OptionHouse???

I agree SForce, as long as the platform is intuitive and I can use some other tools I'm used to, I'm sure it would work. I mostly trade spreads so taking a little extra time having to use a secondary tool isn't an issue. I'm just a little curious how they can make a profit at $9.95 per trade...

    OptionHouse???

I'm going to a road show they are having in Orlando this coming week. I like TOS's platform and would keep an account there, but the cost difference with the flat pricing is compelling. I'm guessing their interface isn't as intricate at TOS, will probobly sign up the demo. Thanks for the...

Unforeseen trading problem, other people hate success

When you trade, it can put you on the other side of the table from everyone else. I trade spreads mostly and I don't do as well as most on ET (or at least not as well as people say they do) but we were way ahead of the crowd (positive) for '08 and am positive so far this year. I don't talk our...

    CNBC/CNBC World or Bloomberg

FBN - I watch the one hour of Cavuto and the one hour right after him in the evenings. Can't stand that bar-scene BS afterwards. Bloomberg - On during the day in the background. CNBC - Very, very rarely. Too much rah-rah during the day and the hosts who cry when the markets go down - it's...

I trust the guys from TOS, and they aren't the Brooks Brothers types either.

Been looking at OptionMonster. Interesting platform and rates less than TOS. Perhaps the stranger the name, the better the platform.:D

Hello OC, I hope you have been well. Over the past few years I believe that you your thread and the TOS platform have helped make me into a better spread trader. Very displeased with this. Thinking too about getting IB demo account. Could also fall back on smaller OX account, but it won't be the...

I will give it some time, but in the meantime will start to demo IB.

    Think or Swim

A bit disappointed but I guess you can't blame the Tom's for wanting to cash out. I do a fair amount of volume in spreads and may set up a demo account at IB. Will save a few dollars there, but would rather stay w/TOS and keep their platform. Will see how it goes.

Yes, you are correct. Many, many hours of great content on there. A good way to begin and stay current.

    options mentoring

Excellent point. A few years back I "shelled out" a few hundred $'s (vs $1000's) for Red Options courses w/TOS. Didn't get as much value as I should have since I didn't have enough experience at that time to get a good perspective of their strategies. I've done a few hundred spreads since then...

How neat is that? I hate changing brokers, but I'm looking forward to this move. Thanks!

Jaysal - Very nice setup. I'm working my way out of OX and just got set up w/TOS. I'm not certain, but they all appear to be TOS screens. Can each of those screens set ups be done off of TOS's desktop?

Analyst: One Third Of Banks Could Collapse In 2009

I'm thinking that eventually there will only be one bank, and their name will be "THE BANK." And their motto will be "Don't bother us."
