I learned when I first started out not to trade news or numbers, just trade the charts. The chart told me to short. The chart knows best. :)

Actually that thread asks if you can make $ off 2k. Sure, just not a living for a little while. My 2k account is now almost 3k after a little more than a month. Give it a year and I just might be making a living off it. (unless I am just getting lucky).

This is by far my favorite setup, so when it comes I will trade 2 contracts on it.(A lot for me). It is nice to have a few more trades up your sleave though, because you can miss some very big moves if you only trade this way.

Well, back on topic here, I would recommend for a low $ account, to trade the NQ instead of the ES. I've been trying that lately and it is much gentler on your account. Lets you use more realistic stops. I know I have been wringing my hands much less during trades since I switched.

Jack, How do you buy at the bottom of the cup? The handle hasn't formed by then so you don't know it will be a C+H. Do you just buy rounding bottoms? How about a few that you are looking at right now? No offense, but anyone can pull out an old chart and say "See, this is how you trade!"
