Hi all, Ok, on many forums I see many posters state 400:1 leverage is trading career suicide. Why is this? My assumption is that 400:1 leverage destroys the undisciplined traders and the newbies because they go for the big trade and get their account eaten up by a simple few pip swing...

There is a nice Art of War quote on the lines of focus on the campaign not the battles... if one focuses on the battle to greatly the campaign becomes second in mind... thus will be lost... In the book "The 22 strategies of War" by Robert Greene, #12 states "Lose battle but win the war!"...

Nice Quote... Think about this... think of the time where you just got out for a loss then all of sudden the price suddenly falls much much lower than your exit (assuming your where long). If you did not get out when you did your loss would of been much greater! There is a difference...

Markets are always changing and there is really not a perfect time to begin to learn/enter seriously.... being "perfect" is a requirement which is indictitive of your lifestyle and happenchances.... "who knows" holds the most water... seriously, one should realize the market could hit ZERO...
