Xi is waging more than a trade war

Mick, Excellent post. Excellent vision. Your number one point on educating ourselves could not be more timely and spot on. This short video should be the first educational, eye opening point for folks to take in as this high ranking CCP spokesman candidly brags in open media about the...

    Trading platforms vs operating systems

Rant On/ I was just fantasizing the other day about buying a stable, ‘fully dedicated’ trading platform w/o the need for a commercial OS. Yeah stupid crazy uneconomic impractical I know, but Bulgarian basement hackers, 17 companies on 4 different continents hauling off private data (that view...

Nasdaq seeks mandatory rule on board diversity for companies

The easiest way to destroy a machine is to throw a wrench into the gears. It was never about improvement of the machine.

Discord Trading Rooms. Which ones are pushing these smaller stocks?

Second thumbs down. 80% juvenile profanity/bravado, 19% clueless searching for help, 1% players. Son in Law sent me 8 to look over. Found one that was borderline, but it actually had revenues, 7 looked totally shaky. One SPAC promoter planned to release 26 deals ... symboled as IPOA, IPOB...

    $300MM for Not-A-Unicorn

James, Interesting insight. I wouldn't have guessed that much activity in this one as it seemed a bit out in the weeds. Thank you for the comment. Max, Makes sense. It is in the weeds and not daytrader territory. So I am guessing that those associated with the company or orgs that carried them...

    $300MM for Not-A-Unicorn

I've became numb some time ago to large sums thrown at Nasdaq companies with no significant earnings let alone free cash flow. I get the YOLO thing. Last week my Son-in-Law dropped me a number of unusual volume symbols for a quick look. Most were stocks trading a few tens of thousand shares on...

    John Hopkins Study

On Friday nights in the 50’s I remember sitting on the floor by my Dad’s chair watching Friday Night Fights. The boxers entered the ring, listened to the ref’s instructions and proceeded to spar and technically score as high as possible. Sometimes it was very obvious who was the better...

    John Hopkins Study

Been observing the loss of economic value and freedom in our country intently. Actions by those in positions of govt and media power fill a broad spectrum from sensible to ludicrous. One wise and pivotal point she makes... “It is not the media’s job to police society or to make sure that...

    A little economic history puzzle

The best book I’ve found on the Weimar debacle is ‘When Money Dies’-Ferguson. Lots of first hand info, detailed central bank players/actions, market, political intrigue, currency and anecdotes about consequences people ran into. The similarities with our current predicament is eye opening...

ES - Trying to tame the beast

Have you run a statistically significant number of trades and expectancy calcs to see how close you are to being positive? Metaline? Can you give some high level color on your entry/exit thinking? Best of luck! T

LOL ... Definitely that danger with me. But I made peace with that issue about 15 yr ago when he was sure the old man was about a dumb as they come. Now he's had a chance to attend the school of hard knocks, we are talking more. It's a good thing. As long as he asks, I'll give it a shot...

Makes sense. The probability to even make it through the door at a prop firm (let alone trade successfully) seems akin to making a pro sports team or acting career. I need a high probability entry/exit for him. (my trading isn't a knockout example shall we say :^)

I will scan for those reviews ... I'm attempting to help my son get into the process. It's frustrating trying to find an educational process in this field with at least a semblance of possible progress that can be made. Thank you for your thoughts!
