Offer still stands but in puretick.com as it was my invitation. Think they charge 5 bucks for trial, I will pay them for you if you wish. Hell, it might do your trading some good. We certainly won't make you go long on days the DOW goes down 500 points lol We only do YM though, other...

JJ, Pride, I like it. Speaking of pride, visit the room in puretick.com, I trade there daily, not just Alex calls but many of my own with entries and exits. If you can out-trade me, I will not only buy you a beer or two but shake your hand in admiration.

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

No particular indicator is a consistent barometer of price action but price action itself. I was simply stating things I saw during the day, TRIN over 5-7, come on, how often do you see that ? I think it even got to 15 or something close to that. If you went long multiple times in the...

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

I found myself killing some time as I'm doing some PC maintenance here at home and decided to check this journal on the dreaded 02/27 crash day. I'm shocked to see how so many of you decided to catch the falling knife that day. All you had to was follow the trend, which was extremely...

    God Bless Averaging Up

It can happen, I'm not perfect, but it's not very probable as my methodology is all about small losses, medium to big wins and decent accuracy. I also have personal max loss limits that simply say "Game over for today" when hit, no second chances, no revenge trading. I even quit for the...

Trend Following - data showing the results

They aren't nuts, in fact, nuts are the ones buying the system. No consistent profitable system that works in all types of market environments is out there for sale because if it worked it would not be for sale. It's that simple.

    God Bless Averaging Up

Today I caught the trend reversal on the YM at a pretty decent spot. The trade began with an extremely conservative 1 contract size because price action was hinting reversal but I wanted better confirmation. Well, long story short (no pun intended hah!) as the intraday swing started...

What catalyst transformed you to a successful trader?

In no particular order. - Learning to take small losses quickly and without regrets. - Letting the winners run as much as humanly possible. Even if they retrace, breakeven trades are better than losses any day of the week. However, a real runner is like hitting a jackpot. - Related to...

Twice as big stops and targets. Reduce car size by half. That should get the ball rolling. Good luck Neet

My friend, that was a pleasure to read.

How would you play todays events tomorrow morning?

With delicacy and conservatively. Let some wounds heal first. Watch action in the first 15 min, at the very least. Draw the top and low range of that timeframe. Use daily pivots to guide yourself and watch Adv-Decl carefully. Tight stops and stay with the trend. Hope you do well...

Ladies, Gentlemen, meet Neet - the Machine

Blind, Of course I do. I remind myself that one day I could wake up and I could go back to small profits or even losses because I got an edge ONLY in certain market conditions. Sure man. However, in the meantime, I'm a machine! Neet

    e-mini hedging and blackouts

For every 3 YM Cars, 1 ES will do just fine as far as hedging your position. Only problem is the unnecessary commissions you will be paying to protect yourself from lack of stability of the exchanges. This 18th century problem needs to be corrected ASAP, especially in the CBOT.

    Maybe FORGET VISTA Altogether?

I wish Tradestation had a native version for OS/X or even Linux. That's the only thing holding me right now from ditching XP.
