/NGF1-/HHF1 spread. This picture has been taken right before (Asian session). It has decent liquidity. Spread is one tick. Execution is not a concern. The concern is whether it is really moving at all. For days, it's moved only one tick!! o_O

As I always use limit orders slippage is not a concern to me. It moves really really slow, you have enough time to manage your positions. Manual spread trading is highly profitable.

Its volume is fluctuate dependent on time of the day. Further months contracts are also traded. /NG and /HH are virtually identical. Therefore I see it as an arbitrage rather than spread trading. Anyway, there are people trading this spread and I want to know how they make money from it.

And how much does NYMEX charge for margin? I cannot find any margin information about it...

It has some volume but it's unbelievably boring and slow. Can it be profitable?

Its range is decent (if I am correct, it's about $700-1400 range with one contract). Yes, I am interested in spread trading because I cannot make consistent profit from outright trading. Actually, since I started spread trading a year ago, I haven't made any single loss so far...

/HH looks almost identical to /NG except it's non-deliverable. I use Rithmic and DOM of /HHF1 (Jan contract) is empty for some reason. My broker is AMP. Is this tradable? I am specially interested in /NG-/HH spread trading. It looks constant range bounded with decent liquidity, which is ideal...

Seriously, if you haven't done so already why don't you try spread trading before you quit trading? Professionals trade spread. I think it suits your trading style. I also already nearly have given up day trading. It's not worth spending time in my opinion....
