    Some books I am considering.

Yeah, this is possibility. Well, then I will suggest them to phone my broker. And if they assume we are conspiring together, I'll suggest them to look up "paranoia". Obviously you can't prove anything to those who have made up their mind in advance... but fortunately, it's not my major...

    Some books I am considering.

I beg to differ. I'll post a link to the confirmation of my trading result for the year 2003 as soon as it's up on the website, on this very thread.

Rich Dad Poor Dad Book - PURE SNAKE OIL ?

All so true. Continuing same direction, one of the most meaningless, yet so often repeated statements is something like: this indicator doesn't work, that study does. Indicator is indicator, it does exactly what its very name implies - it indicates something. It's what you do with this...

Rich Dad Poor Dad Book - PURE SNAKE OIL ?

Scientist, this was easily one of the best posts I've read on any of message boards in quite a while. And, speaking of interoperability :), the following line of yours goes in line with thesis: it's not the setup that defines the success of your trade. It's what you do with setup -...

    Cutting through the hype

50, I don't, really. Just trying to understand the logic of sequence: A: those that write books/run services cannot trade B: here I am, author/mentor/profitable trader, ready to show the proof A: you are bad anyway :) I guess one could say I am not too good student of a market...

    Cutting through the hype

Cal, I am not sure what you are trying to say by this. Are you questioning trading result I posted? Your other posts hint that you do. Maybe I misunderstood you - sorry if that's the case.

    Cutting through the hype

Ugh, I wouldn't worry about that... market has so many ways to remind us how small we really are :D :D If there is a pefect humbling mechanism this is probably it :)

    Cutting through the hype

Absolutely right. There is trigger, there is stop level, there is minimum profit objective and there is pre-defined event that signals exit. Beyond this simple sytructure certain discretions are being applied, as in: aggressive entry (before actual trigger), vs regular (at the trigger) vs...

    Cutting through the hype

It's certainly possible. I do it. My partners Chris, Bo and Allen do it. You see, your reasoning that "if you have an emotional stake in a certain position it's difficult or impossible to offer objective analysis and/or advice concerning that security or market" is not necessary correct. I...

    Cutting through the hype

MB is my only trading account. I do anywhere from 3 to 15 trades a day depending on market activity and personal feeling of being in tune with it. Most of trades are 1-2K shares, some trades 5-10K - in cases where the liquidity is big, risk of slippage is low and I am going for rather small scalp

    Cutting through the hype

No need to generalize everything. Some do trade profitably and some probably do not. Not taking liberty to answer for entire industry I guess I can talk about myself. My trading account is up 88% in 2003 as of December 20th when I closed the year. MBTrading reviews my numbers curently so...

Do you scale out of your trades?

Below is a quote form the book with insignificant omissions From the pure statistical point of view, partialling in is better way to trade than partialling out.... By partialling out you limit your profit potential. Also... entry point is usually the point of lowest confidence. As the trade...

    Transition: loser to winner

Good one bundle. Amazing how noone would even think of making a living in any serious profession without long and often costly education, but trading for some reason is expected to deliver stable income right away. Meanwhile plenty of those that made it say that it was the toughest endeavor...

    Transition: loser to winner

Took me two years and about 75% of initial trading capital (which wasn't big to begin with) to go from total newbie to consistantly profitable trader. It certainly wasn't single realisation. It was more like pieces of puzzle coming together one by one until things clicked. Each big loss (there...

    techniques of tape reading

I answered this so many times, it's not even funny anymore... For the last time: I guess it's time to end my participation in this discussion. From necessity to repeat same things over and over I gather I said everything there was to say on the subject, and the book contains most of what I...

    techniques of tape reading

let me refrain from exact figures and limit my answer to: I trade everyday and trade proftably. This last year was actually much easier than 2001-2002 were. I started with a bit north of 40K.

    techniques of tape reading

Hmmm? Have you just stopped at part 1? Entire second part is not about tape reading? And those 32 examples are examples of what? LOL...

    techniques of tape reading

Little addition: to say honestly, I also have hard time understanding why you would make blanket statement about our work obviously not reading it and probably not being familiar with what we do, how we trade etc. Is it that generic "beat the vendor" elite syndrom? You strike me as someone...
