Why the markets didn't react to Senate passing healthcare bill?

They priced in its passage perhaps, but they sure didn't price in its economic effects.

Settle down Beavis, you're getting ahead of yourself and making all sorts of crazy statements. A storekeeper can change his prices from second to second, there is no law against that. You can not prove therefore that he gave you one price and someone else a different price, because the prices...

Assuming you're talking about me, neither description fits.

What law prevents a market maker from pricing an instrument for one client differently than another when the instrument is being traded OTC? If you walk into a store and buy an apple, is there a law that says the storekeeper has to sell you the apple at the same price as the next person who...

    Currenex troubles

You don't earn (or pay) yields on FX futures, unless of course there is an inverted futures curve, so long term strategies using FX futures have a higher tcost and require more active management on the part of the trader.

    Anyone trade with ODL?

Noticed they had some kind of system outage, but not sure if it happened during trading hours. Anyone have positive or negative feedback on them?

What brokers have FDIC backed accounts?

I wasn't keen on the way they couldn't state clearly whether they took opposing trades or not in their agreement. Did you try them out?

Why bother with IGMarkets when you can trade the exact same instruments on Nadex, which incidentally is owned by IGMarkets. Why is Nadex better? Because it is a regulated exchange under CFTC and the shenanigans that IGMarkets supposedly does to you are probably much harder for them to get...

    Gold, no stockmarket correlation?

Agree very closely to what you have said here. Although I wouldn't discount the possibility of limited depreciation during a deflationary cycle that comes before hyperinflation. In other words, it is not foolish to pay for gold today as insurance. If it decreases during deflation, accumulate...

Wishful thinking. Obama can not credibly throw his party under the bus. As a country we are gullible and stupid to a degree, but not to this degree. Everyone knows Obama + Pelosi + Reid is a trifecta that is joined at the hip, if not on every political calculation, on pure policy goals. For...

Sure you can, just look at the fifty something million idiots who voted for Obama.

Your understanding is poor. This Goldman as the boogyman has become an epic myth. Maybe people need to remember that Goldman was near collapse a year ago and needed help from Warren Buffet and the American Taxpayers. They are not omnipotent, even if their motives are purely profit driven.

What brokers have FDIC backed accounts?

Thanks for the info. A shame they are not a direct market provider, they seem to be act as principal in all trades, unlike real-forex.com, which was appealing since it operates as a DMA offering.

    Anyone ever heard of real-forex.com??

Well that is why I was asking. If someone could vouch I wouldn't be uncertain. I always like to find new brokers, see if they're offering something different. Who do you favor using?

The sarcasm presents a straw man argument. A broker can use software to do all of those things. I'm not saying they do, I'm just saying your rational for rejecting the theory is week.

What brokers have FDIC backed accounts?

Well the problem is that none of the spot brokers provide segregated accounts, and if they go Refco, then it's over for your money. CitiFX would not have that problem. However I'm not sure what the FDIC would be able to do, since they too are practically broke.

What brokers have FDIC backed accounts?

I'm surmising that they are not actually providing their own platform or even prices, but rather a white label of a broker. If this is wrong, then I'd love to know. Otherwise I'd like to know which broker they're white labeling?
