i was thinking the dragon was similar to a dbl-top or dbl- bottom. entry being the break of trendline.. what i have failed to understand regarding pek's comments is the "dragon failure".. (if i recall his terminology correctly). is it a failed trendline break? (from what i've seen - i don't...

    Blackberry or IPHONE

i've used the AT&T tilt (HTC) w/ Logmein.com (free) to remote my desktop/ trading systems from work. works pretty well. seems easier than the built in RDM. You could easily monitor systems, trade live.. limiting factor would be the network connection for the phone imo. 3G vs edge. i have edge...

What do you think about my strategy?

drasfs, only you can answer that imo. No_pm liked to see price above the channel, and divergence in the oscillator. i think he waited for a reversal bar to enter, but i could be mistaken. he also watched the adx for an over-extended condition. i thought it was a creative strat. he claimed it...

What do you think about my strategy?

there was a real good thread by a trader named no_pm_please. his strat, while not precisely like yours, had many similar aspects. you might enjoy reading it, and, he had very specific parameters for entry/exit. i can't remember the thread title, but i suspect it would be easy to find w/...

Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less

the left's mindset regarding drilling anywhere such as offshore ,ANWR, etc seems to be that it will divert resources away from those that could be applied to alternatives. Now, they will claim it's due to environmental issues, padding the big oil coffers or whatever.. but alternatives, that's...

    TS2000i to IB TWS Bridge

imo, you're just about forced to use market orders on the IB side. unless you have coding skills and opt for TWSLink.. you can't get around it. any other way will create sync issues.

    TS2000i to IB TWS Bridge

tradebullet might be what you are looking for. it is 'off the shelf'. TWSLink is, as mentioned, a nice solution, but only if you are proficient with coding.. it's challenging for most i expect

ok, this is stupid question probably, but.. that 'DA line' bighog referred to.. i'm guessing it was a median pivot point gathered from a measured opening range? he was looking at breakouts on either side i assume (the +/- 6 ?) i was just curious, and wondered if i had interpreted it properly...

hi vertigo, i watch for the wolfe as well, but not so much the time or target ponits. although i do notice the targets. really, all i wanna know is, did it fail or succeed. gartley's are a bit different, and maybe i was confused about which you were asking ..or maybe it wasn't you. either way...

Backtesting software that can handle tick data

max - do you currently use both OQ and MC? I've been thinking of purchasing a new platform, (now using ts2000i), and these 2 have interested me. esp MC, due to the ease of transfer from TS. i hope to employ an ATS with IB.. thanks

or... (this 1 had a nice bearish WW i deleted 'inside' the larger wedge) the WW you posted on spy looks valid to me.. it would stand out more if the time frame was zoomed in a bit i expect.. oh, i do use 24hr charts .. mostly because i work all day :(

:P vertigo3, trust me, those questions are well above my level. but good ones at that. i have a fair eye to 'see' WWs now, after some time of watching for them. what i like about them is the frequency in which they will predict turning points. short term and longer term. the rules are not...

*the entry on the pattern is where the disgression(at least for me) comes in. i expect there is many methods that could be applied. - reversal bar -close above 1-3 line (in this case) by no means am i a seasoned ww guru. just the opposite actually
