No, you are correct - the market can shift overnight so if that is the reason you dont want to hold overnight its valid, as long as you consciously are aware of why you are doing it.

There is nothing technically unfeasible in your plan. Its as simple as it looks to buy and sell. The market is very liquid and the tools and brokers are plentiful. Knowing when to buy and when to sell is the hard part.
