    Getting filled on Spread Bidders

It's an order book.. They are orders that people have posted to get filled on.

    Getting filled on Spread Bidders

I was just poking around on ThinkOrSwim and noticed the spread book, I decided to take a peak and saw some really interesting things. There are quite a few people who would bid 100+ contract spreads for prices which would essentially make the trade riskless, I'm sure there are hundreds of...

    IB Spread Bidding / Offering?

I am just wondering if anyone who uses IB knows if you can enter spread orders because I find it frusturating entering one leg at a time.. I looked around on the site for a while and couldn't figure anything out. Help? PS I am using the Webtrader.. Or will I have to use the...

Got into trading after college, 1 year retail, 1 month prop so far...I have issues..

I used to scalp Citi.. There's tons of potential because its easily possible to scalp 50k shares at a time or higher on a single penny.. Do that successfully several times a day and you'll bring home a nice paycheck. If you can also get rebates you're just laughin all the way to the bank!

    swing trading versus day trading

Well, it is a good thread. Which is also why I said I'm probably wrong.

    swing trading versus day trading

If you think about it, isn't it silly to have this debate? It seems to boil down to just personal preference. Assuming you could make money doing both, then another question is raised: do you enjoy being in front of the screen day in and day out? Or would you rather be golfing. One decision...

Pattaya - The Ultimate Trading Location

Why does everyone make it seem like the country is swarming with Hookers? I was in BKK for a month in December and that truly is not the case. Sure you go to Nana area after the sun goes down and it's quite a gong show, but seriously... This is why Thailand has the reputation it has, because...

    swing trading versus day trading

In my opinion your risk should be known in every single trade you enter, completely takes the fear out of trading. I also see more or less risk as relative; 100 shares with a $10 stop vs 1000 shares with a $1 stop etc., just gauge it with the trade I say. You wouldn't enter a 5 month trade with...

It sounds like you're at Swift Trade or Title Trading or something.. If you want to survive there you gotta buck up and every time you do something that doesn't work, try something new. Literally. The most successful trader I saw at that was trading up in excess of $2k / day, usually 5k lots...

    Famous Traders

Yes you have a good point there.. But that's not the itch I was trying to scratch. :p They might manage money in the billions NOW, but I wanted to talk about what allowed them to get to that level. :)

    Famous Traders

I think we all have, at some point, read an article or biography on the best traders in the history of the markets and just stood back in awe of these people. So many names who have made great story's; Buffet (ok.. "investor"), Williams, Darvas, Lynch, Livermore, Cohen. But when I remember...

    Why 99,9% fail

I agree... I used to know a trader who traded using moving averages, a sh*tload of screaming, and 'intuition'. In the good months he was pulling in 5 figure months! (via scalping) In my opinion to succeed you really just need to manage your money properly with a dash of tipping the odds in...

Grinding it out, day after day

Lescor, I'm just wondering what makes you more nervous.. Running into a burning building or the chance of a power outage when you're in a sizeable trade? :p I look forward to following the thread!

Flurry of orders on price level movement..?

Hi, this is my first post on Elite Trader.. I've been doing DMA day trading through working at Swift (I'm loving it so far) and have only been here for a little over 2 months. But this one little thing has always tickled my curiosity.. When I am watching the T&S and I start to notice an...
