I went from being a religious desiple of these people learning from their courses and books, to now being synical AF. They are all FOS in my opinion. Let's see LBR's track record over the past 20 years and see how it holds up. Any of these BS artists selling books. Do their methods work as...

    Chat with traders videos

My issue with these podcasts is most guests don't have a verifiable track record one can look up publicly so how do we know they are actually as good as they claim? Im a bit skeptical myself.

    Technical analysis

I think this is a bit silly. How do you actually know what a "sense" is? How do you quantify it to ensure you are not just thinking there is something there that is not? Can we objectively beforehand define what a "sense" is?

I think before you look into a TA course, I think you need to ask the question what evidence is there that TA has predictive power? How do I know? How can I be sure? I think that is a better starting question. Not saying it does or doesn't work, but it's something to think about.

    Equity Newsflow (MARA)

I would imagine all the news comes out at relatively the same time. The stock probably adjusted before because markets are competitive, and mostly efficient, so the information gets disseminated into the price fairly quickly. Maybe if you have a Bloomberg or Reuters you might get it a bit quicker?

Have you had more success with systematic trading, or discretionary trading?

I'm not referring to systematic as full-on 100% automated algo trading, but clearly defining a ruleset that has been backtested, and you will not deviate from it. At least not in the moment... Discretionary as in - Here is what I for look for (maybe a general rule set) but from there is subject...

Trading the Iron Condor Strategy for monthly income

Just because you sell an IC for credit, doesn't make it "income". If you want income, then high paying dividend stocks or Fixed Income should really be where your at. Good luck.

Can you rank the easiest, to hardest ways to make money in financial markets?

it would seem to me that investing would be easiest due to the positive drift of the market and longer time horizon. You could just get lucky in that most individual stocks follow the drift of the market. Day trading would seem like its purely skill-based, due to the short-term nature and...

Anybody have any thoughts on Dual Momentum by Gary Antonacci? Seems too good to be true.

This is what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing! Guess the reality is in the long run SPX is where you should be and what typically holds true? Or at least think, there is no strategy that will produce better returns with less volatility in the long run. Tried and true indexing is the way to go.

Is trading Implied Vol, the real edge here? And anything directional has no edge?

Well, I would imagine your transaction costs would be much higher than they would be if you were at a HF or prop firm. Even if the costs are low at retail.
