Trump want to be a king or dictator or eternal president

He whispered it into my ear while I sat next to him in the bath house.

Why are there flash crashes in the stock market but no flash rallies?

You'd really have to better define "flash crash" first of all. It seems to be a newer term to try and categorize something that doesn't fit the standard "crash" criteria. For instance, what was August 24th, 2015? That was certainly an outsized move with all sorts of pain for overleveraged...

    Rut on Friday March 2nd

Honestly, it's been going on for 9 years now. Moonshots on Friday's are nothing new, regardless of how bullish/bearish the market had been prior to that particular day.

Please help this Conservative child molester, he is a real victim

Anyone else get that memo last week that said that all of exGOPer's threads would be put in one very special container in the basement?

Is this considered real news or fake news, I'm so very confused.

Nancy Pelosi Has Stage 6 Dementia, Doctors Say

Seems I heard about this same thing with the last guy in charge. Didn't seem to upset you guys too much back then.

Lawsuit: 100,000 noncitizens registered to vote in Pennsylvania

I'm not sure if I should read it, I have to check to see which sites are fake news.

Trump want to be a king or dictator or eternal president

It's kinda funny to me because this is the exact same thing I was reading about with the last President.

Any studies on who normally wins - option writer versus purchaser?

Are we talking about a fixed holding period for both the writer and the purchaser?

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Good find. As we all know, that October 1998 candle was the result of Greenspan's intervention in the markets during the LTCM crisis. We also know what followed in 99-00.

Completely agree (and yes I do believe that is the marginal buyer).

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

the liquidity ebbs and flows throughout the day it seems. There are many individual bars that completely retrace the previous bar (on those small time frames) before continuing in the initial short term swing direction. I began noticing quite a bit of this ragged action the week prior to the...

Which were some brokers with technical problems during this week of market chaos with high volume?

IB has had two Friday's in the past month with outage related problems. One of those Friday's only affected ES FOP's. I did notice that there were at least a handful of traditional retail brokerages down Monday/Tuesday, similar to what happened on Aug 24, 2015.

LJM Preservation and Growth Fund, collapsed by 82 percent! (WTF?)

I agree with you. Prices/spreads were also tight even during the mini-meltdown in April 2000 with RAES, etc. Monday/Tuesday, there was hardly a functioning options market, which has long been speculated would be the case after years of one-way liquidity/passive investing flows, etc.

LJM Preservation and Growth Fund, collapsed by 82 percent! (WTF?)

If I remember correctly the ES 2200p (exp 02-09) did spike up to $60 Monday night, from roughly $1.50 intra-day. So definitely a panic episode there right as it looked like markets were headed for limit down (2512 or so). Edit: ES 2200p (exp 02-16-18) 0.40 intra-day to $71.50 Monday night...

LJM Preservation and Growth Fund, collapsed by 82 percent! (WTF?)

Take a look at Apr 7-14, 2000. I remember trading at that time and it was very similar to the past week, a complete reversal of a spike up parabola. Options markets were way better in those days, there was more liquidity and spreads were not a mile wide. But that was also a 10-12% decline in...

LJM Preservation and Growth Fund, collapsed by 82 percent! (WTF?)

I believe that Monday night's option prices were very similar to the sunday night in August 2015. Granted, that period of time was a lot of back and forth (up/down) in the weeks/months prior. This mini-collapse happened after more than a year of literally a handful of modest down days prior to it.
