    CyberXchange and BRUT

Can you tell whether CyberXchange routes to BRUT as well as other ecns, mms?

    News Feed

There are some brokers that will offer DJ News as a standalone service. You may want to check to see what your broker offers. I think you can get DJ News directly from Dow Jones. I talked with a DJ sales rep a few years back, when I was considering doing just that. I can't remember if they...

    CyberXchange and BRUT

So you have to call them so you can be entitled to direct access to each ecn? That's insane. I don't understand why they wouldn't automatically give this to you when you open your account.

    CyberXchange and BRUT

Cyber offers CyberXchange and INET as the only choices.

    CyberXchange and BRUT

Also, isn't ARCA supposed to use a smart order routing algorythm? I figured, even if CyberXchange ignores BRUT, my ARCA bid locking the market (on yesterday's trade, not today's) would execute against it.

    CyberXchange and BRUT

That's probably what I'll end up doing, if they can't fix it. It's just a shame; I like everything else about Cyber. But I can't afford to trade if BRUT isn't available.

    CyberXchange and BRUT

I think this was the case on a trade I attempted yesterday. But today I attempted to lift a BRUT ask above today's close, and I ended up just locking with an ISLD bid.

    CyberXchange and BRUT

Does anyone else have problems with CyberXchange ignoring the BRUT ecn? I will place an order to buy when BRUT is on the inside, and rather than trade against it, it will lock the market with an ARCA order. (Isn't ARCA supposed to use smart order routing?) I've only noticed this in extended...

    ABRX short?

OK, I know we've beaten the 'who's got the best short list?' debate to death...but look at ABRX after the close tonight. I have FOUR brokerage accounts. (IB, Cyber, JPR, ETrade.) FOUR different clearing firms. Now this thing traded half a million shares after hours, just through island. Probably...

    Listed extended hours short rules

What exactly are the rules for shorting listed stocks pre and postmarket?

Broker with the best list of shortable stocks?

If I remember correctly, they clear through Southwest, correct? I opened an account with JPR (which clears through Southwest) just for shorting. In 3 months, I have attempted several shorts (that I was unable to short through IB) and every single one was rejected. I would assume that all...

Broker with the best list of shortable stocks?

And SLK...I know they used to have a huge inventory. Has that also gone by the wayside since Reg SHO?

    ARCA Problems?

Cybertrader has pulled ARCA quotes from their level 2 the last couple of days, and a few times in the last month or so that I can remember. They claim that ARCA has been having problems with stale quotes for the last several weeks. Has anyone who uses a different platform/software noticed this...

    NYSE resume times

I've noticed that Nasdaqtrader often doesn't update the resume time on halted NYSE stocks until after the stock has already resumed trading. Like today, HRB resumed about 16:30, but the site didn't provide that info until a few minutes later. Are there alternate sources that provide this info?

    IB Pre/Post Market

How do you set up the new build so that you can automatically enter orders pre and postmarket? Every time I place an order, I have to uncheck the 'regular trading hours only' box.

    Opera browser

I heard this is more secure and faster than IE. Does anyone use this? Are there any issues to consider before switching?

    Bpur

According to a news story, they are completing a previously announced 1-for-6 reverse stock split today (Friday 5/27) at 12:01 am. This is aprroximately a 30 cent stock, so shouldn't it be trading at about $1.80 right now?

how do you find stocks that have moved $.50 or $.75 from the open price?

Not sure about eSignal, but I'm guessing they do have a scan for that. I think there are a few services where you could get this; the only ones that I know absolutely for sure are Cybertrader Pro (but it's 250/mo unless you trade 40K shares) and Sortwizard (only about $40/mo), but you need Real...

    favorite guitar solos

"Intruder" by Van Halen. (This is the intro that some radio stations play before "Pretty Woman".) Actually Alex Van Halen is playing drums along with Eddie's guitar, so technically I guess it's not a solo. Still sounds great though.
