Are the likes of Jigsaw and Bookmap toys for little boys

You really need to take with a grain of salt any video you can possibly watch like this. Anyone who makes this kind of video and is not selling something has some deep insecurity they are addressing with the video. The last thing a real trader is going to do is show you their strategy.

    What's Next?

Personally, I don't have time to not go to the gym. Unless you live in a very rural area, I can't imagine there not being a gym close by. I have a decent home setup with a power rack but it still not a gym. Even at some point you need to change gyms for new stimulus. I would even go as far as to...

Bernie Sanders...Is this a case for buying and holding quality stocks??

I worry about the balance of power with the Democrats so completely out of touch with reality. It is like the Democrats have become an anti-Machiavellian party with only wanting to elect candidates that can't possibly win. I just don't see how Sanders has any chance of beating Trump. IMO...

[Buying a NEW laptop] May I use Linux for trading?

Have you re-installed lately? I loved TOS back in the day and just tried to install but Java 13 doesn't seem to be working with it.

Steve Cohen Pulled Down at Least $1.3 Billion in 2019

This is a naive thing to say without knowing the variance of his returns. To say he destroyed value because he under performed an arbitrary 1/1/2019 starting date on the index is just stupid.

    Looking For A Trading Computer?

I can't agree more with this part. I would pay more just for the fun of "building" a system. Part of the problem is there is not a good analogy to "building" a computer in other domains. The only think I can think of is "building" the most simple lego structure that you would buy a 5 year old...

    College Is Not An Option

If your son is too bright to spend the rest of their lives working in an Amazon distribution center then they will not end up doing that. Smart people figure things out and if they don't then they are probably not that smart. Personally, I am glad I don't have children and so don't have to...

    Knee Compressions Good?

My knees are shot so I always box squat. I wouldn't even consider doing regular squats. At least for me, the pain is from the bottom of the squat that you take away with a box squat.

Are cryptocurrencies SERIOUSLY undervalued? ENTER ALL CRYPTO MARKETS

Some of this thread is confusing pricing an asset vs the valuation of an asset. Damodaran will tell you more than you care to know about price vs value if interested. Bitcoin is priced, you can't do a valuation on bitcoin.

Why TikTok is Now the No. 1 Social Media App

Teenagers are not going to want to use the same social media as their parents. I don't think this is rocket science to figure out.

    Price Action With Python?

Been there, done that. What you will find is python is more than suitable for this task IF you define with precision what you mean by "price action". If you do this exercise though it will be like peeling an onion. You just strip off layers and layers until there is nothing left of what you...

Debt jumps to 12 year high!!! Dumb consumers just keep consuming !!

Anyone with any wealth knows this is exactly how broke people talk lol. I don't know anyone with any net worth that is not cheap as fuck unless it came from daddy.

A real edge hardly requires any testing

The problem is most people I see are violating De Prado's First Law of backtesting in that backtesting is not a research tool. Backtesting is a sanity check on a strategy. Of course the actual backtest is trivial to perform. All the hay should be in the barn at that point.

Can a retail trader succeed in algorithmic trading? (Kevin Davey vs Ernest Chan)

De Prado's point is that since all strategies have a shelf life, you need a team to build a strategy factory for true long term success. He is also not talking about retail but about other's people money. You can't take the risk free or index rate for 2 years with OPM while you figure out a new...

    Bernie 2020

I plan on voting for Bernie to hopefully hand him a market at all time highs with no place to go but down and destroy all these stupid socialist ideas for at least a generation/remainder of my life. Feel the Bern!

What episode of Chat with Traders do you recommend ?

I don't know what freedom of speech has to do with anything here. I mean the flaw is there is just no reason for someone to give away the secret sauce on a podcast unless their secret sauce is in getting you to buy a secret sauce.

The XFL kicked off the latest attempt to compete with the NFL

I think most sports year round aspects are bugs and not features. The limited season is why the NFL is king, you just can't wait for the season to start in the summer. I just feel like I am a prime customer with Cardale as one of the stars of XFL and I just could care less to watch. We already...

The XFL kicked off the latest attempt to compete with the NFL

IMO the flaw of this is we just don't need football 365. What makes the NFL great is the off season and having to wait for the next season. This has zero chance of lasting. Cardale Jones is one of my all time fav players and I just have zero interest in watching what he can do against...
