    The market is random

Predictably irrational. If a mutual fund wants to dump all their GOOG stock the price may have to downtick several cents/dollars for them to find enough sellers. That's not random. That is supply and demand. Not predictive, but also not random. There are people who can spot these things. Just...

Illegal Immigrants understand finance very well............

First off, LOL to the previous post. Well played. This is more of a class issue than a race issue. People love to mix them up because it's easier (more simple-minded) to write-off an entire population of people than to try to understand the complexities of class/political stratification. Not...

Illegal Immigrants understand finance very well............

This is the same kind of scapegoating Hitler used with the Jews. It's idiotic and unhelpful because you play into the hands of the powers that be that want the focus to be off the problems that created the influx of illegal workers. Illegal immigrants coming to the states is the symptom of a...

I'm calling it - The Top Is In

Apparently telling you the truth and not engaging you in bullshitting about something you cannot predict is yap yap yap. Happy to be on your ignore. Will laugh when you blow up.

I'm calling it - The Top Is In

Again, would you call someone who made one call and was right once a genius or lucky? That's not a long enough track record to have any significance. Would you invest with someone because they made one good call? Ten calls in a row would not even be enough to determine if they're lucky or good...

I'm calling it - The Top Is In

If he could call tops and bottoms consistantly for the next ~10 years there might be some significance. Right now it's just short term luck and noise.

I'm calling it - The Top Is In

Where am I predicting? All I'm saying is if you're going to gamble based on TA gamble in the direction of the bigger payoff.

I'm calling it - The Top Is In

I don't think I would change popular concencus by posting on ET. Its reach isn't quite that far nor am I a mouthpiece. Predicting the market is retarded, plain and simple. You're bound to be right through pure luck at some point. But enough retards were banking on the head and shoulders as...

What's the better pay off. Betting on what everyone is anticipating or on what no one believes can continue?

Illegal Immigrants understand finance very well............

You can thank Reagan for the destruction of American industry and the creation of a consumer bubble economy as far as I'm concerned. And then you can thank Clinton for putting the nail in the coffin with NAFTA. On a side note. I used to do carpentry during the summer in highschool/college...

trading without any indicators for daytrading?

I'll add (as a newbie who is still in the early stages of learning) that it seems like indicators could end up being a big distraction where you end up focusing and relying on them for guidance and neglecting the price action itself, divorcing your self from the thing that actually determines...

Why do student loan companies exist

Things really turned out great when regulations were changed in the 80's to allow the securitization of mortgage loans right... Why trust these things to private industry that has zero interest in the public good or any accountability? Market solutions may make these processes more efficient...

There's probably a reason that Wall Street has been doing it for the last 30 years.

Confessions of a loser who need to quit

Right, but it will teach you not to enter a game without a strategy, how to manage a bankroll so you don't blow up or bleed out, and how to control your irrationality that wants to keep betting and hoping you'll make your hand on the river when you should really fold. This guy needs those basic...

Confessions of a loser who need to quit

Learn how to play poker, poker theory etc. Learn who the players are and their game in whatever you trade and make sure you are not fighting the big boys/playing into their strategies. If you don't know who the weak hand in the room is it's probably you.

This choppy thin market is brutal

See the1's post above mine. Fading these days is what it's about. Sold the top, bought the bottom, two trades and I'm done for the day. I tried in the past to trade more than that on days like this and never had any luck.
