Does GDP take into account of inflation?

If our GDP is 3.3% and inflation is 5.5%, does that mean we are shrinking? Also, if inflation doesn't count food and energy while GDP count food and energy. Isn't that undercount inflation or overcount GDP? Thanks

so i got millions, now what?

Actually you can do it. Take all credits for all freshman courses thru AP course upfront. Take exam and get credits for noncore courses.(Like foreign language) Take the rest of EE courses loaded each semester + summers. Take a very smart person to do that and get above 3.5 GPA. If you...

Cheap Products vs. High Wages... Americans Want BOTH!

Yes, low precision manufacturing will go the way agricultural industry went. Instead of big combine for huge field, we will have a bunch of $2000 generic robot making shoes, clothes....etc. That will be the future of US manufacturing industry. Of course, this does not exist yet..:)

Cheap Products vs. High Wages... Americans Want BOTH!

Hrm... frankly, I don't see any highly educated Korean or Japanese coming here lately. (That's 30 years ago) I wouldn't call those Samsung LCD TV or Lexus cheap neither. Even for Chinese, you see them flow both ways right now rather than one way to US. You want to know what compeititve...

    The Future Of America

Yes, it seems that for all democratic societies, the trend is to raid the cookie jar since everyone is doing it ANYWAY. (Rich & Poor) Why? Simple! You get votes by spending and lose them by cutting. Unless hands are forced, no one want to make unpopular decisions. However, somewhere in...

    The Future Of America

Yes, I HATE raising tax, but passing my credit card debt to my children is not responsible. I LOVE cutting tax, but that has to come with balance budget. As much as you said everyone can raise tax and balance the budget. Anyone also can cut tax and throw the deficit under a bus. The...

    The Future Of America

You forget that republican vote on abortion. By that standard, Bush probably did great. They could care less whether the country is falling apart. Foreign policy = who cares, just nuke them all. Climate change = who cares, I will be dead. Let my children suffer. National Debt = who...
