Trading is like Arm-Wrestling... Man Up!

Trading might be also like a sniper i.e. once you shoot, you give away your "general location", in other words, either you shoot correctly or quickly cut losses and move to another location and seek for another chance/opportunity.

Trading is like Arm-Wrestling... Man Up!

"As I said, it's nearly impossible to produce returns on inside information alone. It's especially true when you are running AUM in 10s of billions.' Why is it impossible? Inside information is NOT "earnings release" alone. It can do a lot with more important operational information like "a...

Tsunami of wealth didn't trickle down...it surged upward...yep news to me!!!

Lots of these numbers have to do with China, India and nearly a lot of third world adopting market economies. Given they were in the "dirt poverty" levels i.e. very low base, any improvement numbers would look really good. http://www.worldbank.org/en/topic/poverty/overview Am not opposing...

Tsunami of wealth didn't trickle down...it surged upward...yep news to me!!!

While not arguing with the topic, but S&P500 was 122 in Jan-82 and is 2723 in Jan-18. That is roughly 22 times the value. Right figure would be the percent of wealth owned by Top 400 vrs rest of the population. Numbers can be manipulated easily and politicians love it.

Is long-term value investing more profitable than shorter-term trading?

Somewhere I also read that it has been proven statistically that more you day trade, the more your probabilities of winning trades go down. Do not know in depth of this logic but it does make sense given the mental toll day trading can take leading to "unforced errors" in decision making...

Is long-term value investing more profitable than shorter-term trading?

Long Term value investing allows you to keep another full time job and that makes it more profitable than day trading right away.............unless you are really piling cash........in day trading. Would be good if someone can post stats on raw comparison.
