It seemed to have been mis-categorized as a thriller/suspense. Whether purposely or not ... but IDK, since it's also that to a degree. Guess it's a hybrid. All I can think of. Probably why it doesn't work for everybody.

I went into it thinking of a drama movie when in fact it's more of a comedy than anything else. Once I settled on that mindset, Nick Cage's over-the-top performance fit right in. Took me about 20 minutes of bewilderment to get to that point. Did you or anyone else not get the comedic genius...
