Corn Futures Price Ladder - random or no?

Yep. Great posts from garachen and I had exactly that in mind when I started watching less popular products

Corn Futures Price Ladder - random or no?

Have placed countless trades on bund, on the basis of staring at the price ladder. Couldn't do any better than break even though. Haven't traded corn. I'm exploring whether the price ladder is easier to read for obscure products such as corn ("obscure" in the sense that it isn't a mega-product...

Where does the squawk radio company get their news?

http://www.theguardian.com/media/greenslade/2014/jan/10/dowjones-medialaw my educated guess: 5% Dow Jones :) 75% bloomberg terminal 10% reuters terminal 10% twitter maybe twitter % is growing these days tho

Failing traders: the merits of pursuing poker instead

It's an interesting point but I don't agree with it. You are thinking of trading from your own narrow perspective whereas there are a multidue of participants with entirely different objectives to you. This relates to my point #2. If you post bids or offers, you are providing a service that...

Failing traders: the merits of pursuing poker instead

Did any of you ever trade the "bund flipper"? It's fairly rare these days but if you watch closely, every once in a while during quiet markets you might notice a stack of unusually large bids or offers, e.g. 750, 750, 750, apparently attempting to spook opposing algos in to trading the same...

Kai Greene: A Day in the Life

my recommendation is to watch 'whiplash' if you can not for "trading lessons" per se but a look at a (fictional) character devoting himself to one mission

    AMZN interesting crunch point

Will update all of the charts mentioned here, eventually (giving them room to run bearing in mind these are weekly/monthly timeframe). AMZN in particular was on my mental watch list and I did notice price increased on the back of positive results - how could TA have assisted on that score? I...

So, there's this troll guy yeah and he keeps on posting a lotta shit all the time all over the place

Thanks I really ought to clarify that by "demolish" I simply mean, to read relentlessly every post in a short space of time.

I think that's a valid point. Defo not beyond the resources of a big bank to estimate accurately the next inflation reading etc. currently watching linda bradford raschke on youtube. Fairly interesting but god-damn her voice really grates after 60 minutes lol... will give Will Busby a go now.

So, there's this troll guy yeah and he keeps on posting a lotta shit all the time all over the place

Thanks for the lengthy response. I've read Jessie Ls reminiscences several times over the years - it's a fine book, although I always found the chapter about the fur coat pretty bizarre! Have just been demolishing all of your posts. Really I ought to have done so before posting my questions...

So, there's this troll guy yeah and he keeps on posting a lotta shit all the time all over the place

Hi Joe, It seems you've been successful in demonstrating what is possible. 1) Are you inclined to elaborate in any way on how you identify tarmac, as it is being prepared? 2) You've taken winning positions in the likes of GBP/CAD, but I sense you aren't preoccupied with fundamentals which...

    AMZN interesting crunch point

I can't speak for what Getco etc do or do not know, but I stand by what I said; I believe charts give solid clues as to where other participants will puke. I'm not talking about on a sub-second timeframe here either - hence the weekly charts.

True. But I reckon they also tell you where stops are likely to be found

    AMZN interesting crunch point

if it's a risky buy, is it by definition a less-risky sell? Goes without saying I have no idea which way it will go - but what I do like is the idea of stops below 285 being triggered like domino's. Just seems there's potential for a violent down move here. EQT - is this a good buy opportunity...
