Watching a 3 min chart on CL without any HTF context is basically trading blind. May as well go to the casino. I bet if you traded 30 min chart with 4 hour for context and daily / weekly for big picture perspective your would do much better. Even the 30 min will give you 2-3 trades a day if day...

I trade mostly in CL / and Oil ETF's and higher time frame S/R levels are VERY accurate and almost always respected on first test. Trading without it would be trading blind basically. Intra-day chart break out into a weekly resistance? FADE

I think day trading is fine and necessary under specific market conditions. On the other hand, if you can really read a chart well and you just got on board a position which was setup on a 4 hour chart and it is a test of a weekly level of significance that can lead to a multi day directional...

Price charts tell me what price levels were considered high and what was considered low in the past... that way I can buy low and sell high and vice versa once we revisit these areas.
