well the spike in stocks has nothing to do with the taper and everything to do with them announcing to keep short term interest rates low longer than expected. if that's what you are talking about

Not sure I understand the question exactly, but my broker does not charge me margin interest at all when I sell puts, does that answer what you were asking?
