Late prints hit the tape all the time. Some large prints are truly done on the floor, and reported late. Also, market orders can hit between quotations all the time.

Legal. Pay for it and hit those bids. If they haven't abolished them by now, I doubt they will. Bullet is practically an option which allows you to hit bids on the stock on a downtick.

Do not rely on anything out there. Trial and error is and always will be the best learning tool. Forget "paper trading" and simulators, they are worthless. Get your feet wet.

I understand you're missing out on a trade, but you could also be caught sleeping as first bomb drops and crude is getting punished oversees.

I wouldn't suggest trading futures untill you have 2-3 years trading equities under your belt. Its a tough game. Also if you're gona do it anyway, start with NQ.
